This is not good value at all. GT hasn't been highly rated for some time in the mtb world

The on one scandal posted last night is much better spec and geo, not to mention 150 cheaper

I posted the Scandal too. I reckon they both represent some of the best sub £1000 value.

I'm curious about your comments. Why is the GT so much worse? The scandal is only 1 degree slacker, but the GT has a steeper seat tube likely making it better for climbing.

The scandal has the marginally better GX drivetrain, but the GT comes with a dropper post.

    Same fork. Same wheels.

Full disclosure - I have the GT in XL. Had it for a year and I love it. Chucked it over all sorts, including being surrounded by full sus bikes. I probably would have gone for the Scandal (purely based on price for very similar machines) but it wasn't available on cycle scheme. (edited)

I purchased one of these in 1992 same price!
No front shox but Deore XT throughout, still got the frame set.

This obviously is a different breed of bike.

The Zaskar LE was THE frame back in the day! Bet that is worth a bit now?!

Had this bike for over a year in XL and can highly recommend perfect all rounder and very capable rig.
