Excellent value, worth getting at that price even though i already own GTA4, just for the extra episodes edition...which goes for £10+ alone

Use the code KAPOW for an extra 20% off making it £5!

Use KAPOW to get it cheaper at £5. Just trying it now.

Edit: It works.

Great deal, but does SecuROM interfere with DVD Burning programs/Mounting programs?

Dont think SecuROM can be used on digital downloads as it needs a disc inserted to be used.

Awesomecookie!

Can this be linked to steam?

eh? Why does it need securerom to be installed if it's a download? Can anyone confirm? I'd vote hot, but for that. If it definately doesn't, I'll buy just to have on my lappy for when I'm working away!

To stop piracy of course!

Bear in mind the game also requires GFWL and a Rockstar Social Club reg. Still better than the Steam version though where you need another DRM app running (the Steam client itself).

And no, you can't redeem the key via Steam. But Direct2Drive doesn't have any clients etc. so once you've downloaded the game, you'll never need to visit their website again if you don't want to (unless you lose your files or forget the activation key). Just install and play the game from your hard drive as many times as you want.

Nice find ˆˆ shame it's the 2nd worse port in history =p

Its a part of the install manifest, it cant be removed simply for the digital downloads, although it doesnt actually verfiy using it, it needs to see its installed anyway.

apparently its too glitchy and cpu intensive for pc.
Dunno about glitchy, but ive witnessed really bad frame rates for these.

Runs perfectly fine if your PC isn't rubbish

True enough, it's not the best ever PC port but the latest patch really helps. You can download it from D2D as well, along with the manual etc.
Still, well worth 5 quid. You get the original game and both expansions.

Well worth the price, I own the GTA 4 game and the two expansion packs already though, but I can confirm that this is not a glitchy game and i get very good frame rates, the minimum especs are shown in the first post, if you own a very old pc do not expect the game to work.

Grr my AVG blocked my phone call, by the time I noticed it was too late and I have used my 3 attempts (even though I only tried twice). The worst part is D2D's customer support site though... about as helpful as dealing with Blizzard on these sort of matter, maybe somebody is trying to tell me to get outside while its nice.

Dont forget 8% Quidco.

Does this install GTA IV and Episodes into seperate folders or combine them?

I say this because I have them separately and storing more than one copy of the identical Liberty City map seems a waste of HDD space

You'll end up with two archives, GTA4 (15GB) and GTA4:EfLC (16GB). My advice is to either leave them as .zip files or convert them into image files to make installation even more rapid.

Just to warn you, WinRAR doesn't work with the zip files provided by Direct2Drive.

Use 7zip (Don't ask why, it worked for me)
