Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Midnight Club: Los Angeles and Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis are now all playable on Xbox One via Backward Compatibility.

Digital game owners have instant access to these titles on Xbox One, which can be downloaded from the console's “Ready to Install” section. Physical game owners just need to insert the game disc into their Xbox One, and from there will be prompted to download the game.

For those yet to experience any of these classic Rockstar titles, they are all available for purchase directly from the Xbox Store.

Above from an E-mail sent from rockstar.

That’s not free if you own GTA V, it’s free if you own a physical copy of GTA San Andreas and you still need the disc in the drive to run it.
I should've known this was too good to be true Rockstar never give anything for free!

They did give away GTA 1 and 2 as a free download a few years ago.
Got excited then but nothing happening when putting gta v disc in. I went through the store to find SAN Andreas but it’s showing £7.79. Confusion I think.
I bought both San Andreas and midnight club digitally on 360 so thought I'd just have to re download them but doesn't seem to be the case

I bought San Andreas fours years ago digitally in sale. It took until last night for it to show up on my account as the store kept saying I had to buy it again. I have no idea what triggered it showing up.
Did you even read your own post? Clearly says it downloads if you own the disc, nothing to do with GTAV at all
San Andreas went Backwards Compatible a couple of days ago - this is nothing to do with GTA V and it's certainly not free. It's only "free" if you've previously bought it digitally or if you already own the physical disk.

The amount of misinformation being posted on here these past couple of days is ridiculous, what the hell. The fifa one is the best, one of the 'hottest deals' is someone thinking a free weekend means it's on ea access.. Everyone makes mistakes but at least remove the deals which are obviously incorrect, ffs

Careful, the mods don’t like free thinking like that. If fewer people come here how can HUKD get it’s commission

Do you remember if it was the original or the remaster? Apparently in Oct' '14 they removed the original and replaced it with the HD mobile port. I purchased the original (digitally) yonks ago and it's only giving me the option to purchase it again

It would have been the remaster, as I’ve just checked the purchase date and it was 30 Nov 2014. It was only £2.99 at the time, but I never played it until today.
