Great value for a great game delivered (from a reputable retailer)! Available on PS3 or Xbox 360. They have obviously price-matched Tesco.

Where? I searched and only found one for Tesco. Many people prefer buying from Amazon, hence why I posted this,

Wow awesome price, nice find. I suspect the majority of people that would play this have already bought it! Amazing game.

Hmm, where to start? I paid a lot of money for this game. It finally broke my resistance to buying a ps3 after years of deliberation. I am an avid gamer, but use my PC for almost all my gaming. My brother-in-law got me into AC3 but I avoided the need for a console by buying a controller that adequately replicated the console experience. GTAV though was a step too far, and I HAD to have it.

This means that, to play this game, I bought a second-hand PS3 (£100), the game (£29 at the time) and have since been compelled to buy other amazing games and have even signed up for PS+... £20 is amazing, I reckon it has cost me in the region of £250 so far... (speaking as someone who is currently waiting for my PS3 to back-up so I can install the new 750GB drive I bought for it... :|)

Anyway.... heat

Oh boy its gonna get hot in here

If anyone has bought it from Amazon in the past few weeks, contact them on chat and they'll usually refund the difference

Sold. Anything to keep me (more constructively) amused in the evenings.

ordered via Tesco, then saw the post that said its the same price at Amazon, cancelled Tesco, and ordered via Amazon (have prime membership, free next day delivery)

With your prime membership, do you not always get next day delivery? When I order blu rays and games they don't always come next day anymore?

Really hot, took me by surprise and actually lived up to and beyond the hype for me. Became my new favourite game of all time replacing Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

If they ever make a PC port of this, will be pre-ordering on day 1.

I did the same thing, bought a second hand slim 160gb with GTAV for £120, then sold the included copy of Fifa14 for £25, so £95 basically. Just for GTAV. Since played Last of Us (truly incredible experience), Mass Effect and Shadow of Colossus, and loving it.

GTAV is an amazing work of art, I'm constantly overwhelmed by its vastness and level of detail. The online game is excellent fun, especially during the glitch/wealth era. A little less fun these days having to be careful with cars and ammo.

I bought this on impulse, mulled over it, and have just cancelled my order as I still have TLOU to buy.

In your opinion though, which is the "better" game to buy between the two? I'm personally more inclined to get The Last of Us, but GTA5 is incredibly appealing because of the low price. Thoughts?

Edit: Doesn't also help that a PC port of GTA5 is rumoured to be coming out soon.

The graphics will be better if Max Payne 3 is anything to go by...

But RDRedemption never came out on PC, and with there being no confirmation of a PC port, it's hard to say if a PC version will even materialise.

The predictable price match is annoying but great if you want it delivered I suppose.
Was going to say if you don't have a Tesco near but they're bloody everywhere.

I think it will materialise as pretty much every other GTA is on PC, rumors are saying March or possibly June ibtimes.com/gta…220. Still not sure I can wait at this price point. Rockstar are torturing PC gamers, wish they would just confirm already

It's another reason as to why it doesn't make sense for me to buy the game right now.

PSN will have TLOU on sale in a week or so (£18 with PS+), and the PC version (if true) will also be around £20 when it is eventually released - and let's not forget Steam sales etc.

Sometimes it pays to wait, but I want TLOU on disk (around £25), and GTA5 will go back up in price to about £30 once the Tesco/Amazon offer expires.

Decisions, decisions, decisions...

EDIT: Jeremy Jahns made my mind up for me... youtube.com/wat…QzI

Going to forget about GTA5 for now. Too many other games to consider (the first of which is TLOU).

Also, GTA IV (and older GTA's on PC) had a massive modding community - this is the biggest advantage of PC gaming imo.

We really have a thread for PS3 and one for Xbox? Both in positions 1 & 2 on the front page. lovely.

£17.62 on flubit for me!

How you find them, last time took me 2 weeks to get a book i only saved £1.16 on. wasn't worth the wait.

Are we going to have another deal every time a new retailer lowers their price now?

True. I barely ever bother with flubit any more. It's a good service, but since I have Prime, I'd rather get it a week early than save £2ish. Only with stuff I'm not desperate for now

Good deal cheaper than secound hand in cash converter

Absolutely brilliant game, one of the best I've ever played, £20 is an absolute grab.

Jawz

I usually get decent savings when I don't mind the wait. The wait varies a lot though, sometimes feels like next day and on bad days up to a week all things considered.

Exactly the same scenario as GTA 4. Buy it, play it, initial honeymoon period ends, then it's just a boring mess of a game with a very empty world.

They seemed to get stuck somewhere between making a realistic crime simulator and Saint's Row 3.

Plus theres the fact that the framerate constantly sits in the lower 20's in cities, which completely ruins the fluidity and enjoyment of the game.

I'm sure once the superior PC version hits and the eventual 1080p60 PS4 version is released it'll be a much better game. However, that really can't make up for the lack of things to do in the game and the boring missions.

Oh and I'm well aware that the online mode solves a lot of the problems with the "empty world". Unfortunately I have a very aggressive allergy towards anything involving micro-transactions. Especially when they're in a game that rake in over a billion quid without them.
