GTA Vice City for Android, fixed since being taken off @ Google Play

I know it isn't a reduction or a deal as such but Vice City has just been put back onto the Google Play store for Android devices. The game is £3.74 which is a tad irritating given it is 2.99 for iOS but I'm personally going to be paying the extra to use it with a PS3 controller! Description from the Play store itself below. Have fun playing

Welcome back to Vice City. Welcome back to the 1980s.
From the decade of big hair, excess and pastel suits comes a story of one man's rise to the top of the criminal pile. Vice City, a huge urban sprawl ranging from the beach to the swamps and the glitz to the ghetto, was one of the most varied, complete and alive digital cities ever created. Combining open-world gameplay with a character driven narrative, you arrive in a town brimming with delights and degradation and given the opportunity to take it over as you choose.
To celebrate its 10 year anniversary, Rockstar Games brings Grand Theft Auto: Vice City to mobile devices with high-resolution graphics, updated controls and a host of new features including:
• Beautifully updated graphics, character models and lighting effects
• New, precisely tailored firing and targeting options
• Custom controls with a fully customizable layout
• Massive campaign with countless hours of gameplay
• Compatible with the MoGa Wireless Game Controller and select USB gamepads
• Integrated with Immersion tactile effects
• Tailor your visual experience with adjustable graphic settings
Languages Supported: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Korean, Russian, and Japanese.

If it's anything like the GTA III on Android i'll pick it up for 99p when it goes on sale most likely at Christmas or New Year.
Bought it earlier and it works a treat on my note 2 forgot how much I liked VC
I got gta 3 for 99p too. either way after playing its easy worth what they are asking, it's good fun on the Note :-)

Any good on the original Galaxy tab 7.0 ?

I see it listed, but the previous gta was unplayable, toooo stuttery
I got 3 at 99p too. If you're not sure then wait a bit and use the review page on the site and narrow it just to your device to see what others say, if they say it works then I say go for it. Spent a lot of my childhood on this game, look forward to playing it!
Thanks for the info. just bought it and its downloading to my nexus 7.
It is awesome on ipad / iPod touch by the way. I don't play app games, but this is a great game, highly recommend it...
Simply not a deal at all. Cold cold cold. Jesus H. Why in the world are people voting hot. This will get to over 1k degrees when it's 74p at some point in the next 6 weeks, but at this moment it's the opposite of a good deal.

In my opinion this is a great deal yes it may be cheaper in the future but its only just come out and for £3.74 you get one hell of a game its a bargain in my eyes.

I'd expect it to run the same, if not a bit worse.
Absolutely love the game. But no idea how they delayed it because of some error with it, then raised the price from £2.99...

Can't imagine this game has been improved too much performance wise, not that I have played it but I know the xperia play is a similar spec to the Arc which I own, which is not listed as compatible.
A little off topic but how can I link up a PS3 controller. I have a Galaxy S2.
thank you
Run it on a newer device and its brilliant. Galaxy S3.
Probably a stupid question, but does this use the 80's soundtrack from the original game?

Search on youtube, there is plenty of tutorials on how to.
Good deal but I'll wait until it's 99p or 59p unless I end up feeling particularly frivolous at some point over the festive season.

£3+ is a bit too much for a mobile app IMHO.

You need something called an OTG cable. Can get them on ebay cheap enough.

I remember getting in the car at the start of the game and Billie Jean coming on. But I've not even heard it at all since.

Or use Bluetooth.

Exactly considering I pucked up the entire collection (including GTAIV and stories) on Steam for a little over that.

Ah right, you must be one of these special few who have gaming rigs that fit into their pockets.

Quite frankly anyone who complains about a few quid for what must be 50+ hours of gaming easily is too tight for their own good. Or they need to get a job.

As for the deal, cold, purely because its the usual price, and more expensive than iOS.

Also, theres nothing wrong with the touchscreen controls. The people moaning just suck at the game. They were great (as far as onscreen controls go) on GTA3, and theyre great on this. Literally the only way I can see them being a problem is if you use a crappy android tablet or one of the terrible pure google devices that are too cheap to implement hardware based buttons.
So if a company brings out a new cola drink, that tastes just like coca-cola, yet it only costs 5 pence a can, and that is full RRP, is it not a good deal?

I think it is...

HOT FROM ME!
cold, more expensive then release price.
Not a deal, this is just full price and like every other R* game it will go down in price in a few weeks. It's also more expensive than the iOS version to top it off.

I had been eagerly awaiting this - then was disappointed when they had issues with releasing it on the 6th. However, San Andreas was released on PSN yesterday which I slightly begrudgingly forked out £11.99 for (although after 20 mins of gaming I soon forgot about how they pillaged my bank account with what seems like unnecessary pricing - but it makes Vice City feel cheap).

you were a child playing violent videogames?
according to the daily mail you must be a deranged psychopath and be living out your 'digital fantasies' by running people over wearing a pastel blazer with the collar up.

... or you were smart enough as a child to realise that *gasp* it was just a game.
