Need a vacuum- which would people recommend, G-tech or dyson?

I wouldn't touch a dyson since the founder has proven himself to be what he is.

I have heard great things about this vacuum though.

I would say the equivalent is the dyson v8 but it is far more expensive and the only drawback previously was that the gtech airram MK2 couldn’t handle pet hair but now the k9 version can and it has reinforced components so in my opinion for this price you won’t find any better unless you fork out £300 plus and even then it’s a close call for which is better, basically this one is a £250 vacuum for £150. That’s in my opinion the best option.
Still seems expensive for a vacuum cleaner

I see your point but for anything close to this performance and with it being cordless also, you won’t find anything remotely close to the price. #NotASponsoredComment

Neither , Bosch Athlet - cheaper, longer run time, better quality. Dyson is for mugs.
Thanks for posting, just ordered.

You’re welcome I ordered last night and it arrived this morning
This is one of the best vacuums I have ever purchased; wish I had bought it years ago.
How long does it run fully charged ?
Got the MK2 model and been very impressed with it!

Gtech Customer Service is fantastic too.
I want to replace a V6 was looking at possibly one of the Shark vacuums however how does this compare to a V6 or am I better off holding out for a shark? Don't want to spend more than 200 though.

Better than a v6 but not better than a v8 but obviously the v8 is mega expensive
So what do people do about stairs and the like with one of these, ie no hose etc?
I have one of these and it sucks
This or the Dyson V6? Would be used as a daily for low pile carpets and wood floors. Have a cat and a missus that sheds more than the cat. We have a corded shark for the weekly big clean, just need something to keep the hairs at bay in-between. Thanks
