Just spotted this at Argos, I've never seen it as cheap as this its usually at least £199. It gets brilliant reviews. Shame ive just bought a Zanussi for my mum.

Update. I have taken the Zanussi back for a refund and collected 2 Gtech AirRams, one for mum one for me.

Thanks! ;-)

Deal of the week for me, I'm having one. I've tried one and it kicks rs.

I was decided on buying this to replace my heavy, awkward Hetty, but then I read that the ONE thing this is bad at, is picking up between varnished floorboards. This is what I have in my living room and hall, so.. bah humbug! Voted hot though.

Great price if you just want the air ram on it's own.

bought a sebo vac from a returned goods specialist the other day & there were loads of these air ram thingies on there, so I'm not convinced yet.

seems to be a good honest review http://www.trustedreviews.com/gtech-airram-review-running-costs-battery-life-and-design-page-2

looks like it's a brilliant supplement to a traditional vac.

Good price but don't expect it to be able to clean your stairs - Gtech have a separate machine for that. Basically a great vacuum if you live in a bungalow. IMO this is a better vac: argos.co.uk/m/s…htm

Got one of these for my 80 year old mum....I was really impressed with its performance, even on carpet that I'd just cleaned with a Dyson DC25. It's far easier & quicker to use than a traditional msins-powered upright. I paid £199 at Lakeland.

Use mine all the time saves time no plugging in. Great on my hard floors and I use it on my capered stairs. My upright has not come out of the wardrobe in a year.

These are brilliant ..had one for 4mths ...great on my hard floors cleans right up to skirting boards. picks up well on carpet. It is so light and easy to use. Love it ..cheapest at the time was g-tech online £199 ..went thru topcashback £22.36 back.

I made the first vid where the motor assy is removed :-)
They're OK for a quick freshen up, but not a replacement for a proper vacuum.

You can always try one from Argos and take it back within 30 days if you're unhappy.

They have this from time to time on QVC for the same price £169 (pay over 4 months).

I bought one the last time it was on offer, I am still very impressed with it. We have carpets, wood & tiled floors and stairs and it does a great job on all of them. Dyson hardly ever used now.

For it's size it does make a bit of a racket though!

This is the best vacuum cleaner I've ever owned. I don't use the old one at all any more, so I think it's much more than a supplement to an existing cleaner.

My mum has the stronger 'K9' version and swears by it. It's a bit more expensive mind you, but its even tougher than the standard model

Voted hot btw. Any Vacuum cleaner with a USB port is cool!

Air Ram? That will put a smile on your mum's face

Fantastic cleaner. Had one for several months.Very good price.Normally £199.00 .Voted "HOT".

I notice Gtech have reduced the guarantee from 5 years down to 2 years on these.
It seems they no longer have confidence in the product lasting 5 years ! !

how does this compare to the dyson handhelds? looks kinds 80s in design but if it performs better...

Does anyone know how this performs on Wilton carpets I find the Dyson very hard to push on them it sticks like glue, but it's fine on other carpets.

For anybody who is interested you can get the Bosch equivalent from Amazon.de for a similar price (164 exc shopping)

My mother-in-law has one and its a cracking piece of kit.

Much better than dyson both upright and handheld. Ive just bought the handheld/ air ram pack and they are fab, so easy to use and do a great job on wooden and carpeted floors. Dyson handheld was awful

I have this and it's fantastic on all floors!

Is this really a " vacuum " cleaner?, it appears to be a glorified motorised carpet/floor sweeper to me.

Yes, despite appearances it is a very powerful and efficient cordless vacuum cleaner. Bought one about a year ago, still going strong. House over three floors, various flooring surfaces (wood, ceramic, carpet) all good.

Batteries last about 20mins on single charge, but this should be more than enough for most homes as there is no time spent fussing with power cables, and cleaner is very light and easy to move around.

I highly recommend, but with a couple of caveats. As mentioned above not great at stairs as it doesn't have attachment. We bought the hand-held version as well, and it's ok but nowhere near as powerful. I wouldn't pay £100 for handheld but OK purchase if G-Tech are still doing the both for £200 deal.

Hair gets caught on rotating spindles (beaters) at the front, I have short haired dog (which is no problem) but long haired wife and daughter (problem). Means every few weeks I have to take scissors to cut it away, no big issue but if the beaters could be removed for cleaning would be better design.

Overall it's great. And a lot let hassle for spills, crisp juggling etc. as you can just pick this up and use it immediately. So Mrs Beandog happy with me and it.

But does it actually " suck "?...or does it just beat stuff with it's rotating beaters?

If you held it above and away from the floor say about an inch, would it suck anything up?

Awful machine

That's a really useful comment.....not.

Why not give some reasons why it's awful

The guy on the advert is annoying.

Use mine everyday and it has certainly replaced my dyson and henry Hoover. Amazing machine. Love it.

I have one and it is brilliant I believe I am right in saying it does not suck it lift dirt , bits, hair, dust with the brushes beating/turning Like the old carpet sweepers but powered.

We've had one of these and the smaller hand held one for about 6 months.... both excellent and we very rarely use the conventional cabled vacuum.

Just bought after reading the comments and checking out the reviews, really suprised by how good it actually is ,gave it a quick run round the carpets downstairs and was shocked at how much it picked up ,and how light and easy it is to use ,the dyson will now be confined to the cupboard only to be brought out to do the stairs.

Awesome device, but do find that you need a dyson etc for a monthly spring clean.

yes will use dyson for all the edges where this machine wont quite do and for the stairs but for everything else this seems perfect.

Thanks for that, that is exactly what I thought.

In which case, it should not be described as a " vacuum " cleaner, it is a floor sweeper. (_;)

Type as slowly as you like, I am convinced that this is not a " vacuum " cleaner.

Bought this and it is an awesome little piece of kit. For an extra tenner off check the O2 priority moments for a £10 argos voucher.
