How is that causing you problems, dusty? Fan bearings worn out?
I'd be happier buying something which I know has been stable mining tbh.

They're designed to be used
I swear you could find 3gb 1060's on amazon for less than 200 & you'll get the full three year warranty

The problem with CEX, especially if your going to buy online you have no idea your actually going to get. Been looking myself recently for a 1060 but the website just shows a reference card. Have rung a couple of the stores and it varies which cards they actually have. Some online buyers have been really fortunate to what they've received.

I've bought several graphics cards from CEX over the years, including the one I'm currently using, and never had a single issue with them. Usually trade in my old cards for new ones when I see something decent in my local store.

I'd LOVE to know how you know anything at all about how your cards were used.
Better to pay extra and not deal with cex if something went wrong..
I just bought two 1060s brand new from Box. Not the best 1060s but at least they come with full warrantee.

I've had loads from CEX over the years including CPUs and GPUs.
Had very few issues and their returns has always been good with me. A year or so ago, when ordering online you could only return online, but they take back in stock now.
I recently got DDR4 from them for my new Ryzen setup. Kept ordering sticks online and in various shops and returning without any problems at all. Finally got a couple of sticks to work - £80 for 2 sticks of 8Gb .- this was half the price of new at the time.
If you have an old card to exchange, their swap deals are pretty good. If you don't have an old card to swap, I'd get new as the prices are not that different.

Well for a start how it looks. If it's a card that's from a gaming pc then it should be in perfect Condition. But if it's from a mining rig they tend to have a slight smell . It's like a very mild burnt electric smell. And mining cards are in a open configuration so usaly more dirty and dusty + the mild smell .

Although most users won't notice, good chance cards that have been pulled from a mining rig will have mining optimised firmware installed.

I usually keep my graphics card in the computer case rather than smell them. Would rather smell a flower, they're free if you have a garden.
Think before you jump to a 3Gb model.
Folk said it wouldn't happen, but even 1080p games are starting to pull way more VRAM than at decent settings.
Or buy new from £185 to £200.
Cold.

I did actually see this at 160 new during the black friday sale, I forget where.

On the subject of cards from cex my r9 380 I got from them was in perfect condition works well and even overclocks quite nicely. Not sure what their like if it breaks and you bring it back though. They really need to update their sute so you can buy a specific manufacturers card though.
how much, though some idiot will buy it
a lot now have doubled again and people doing scams on ebay with under 10 feedback and fake paypals
The card now costs £240 please remove this
