Very have a deal on at the moment where you get £50 off selected computer items up to £400 with the code MCDHY

They have an MSI 1070ti listed for £419.99, with the code it makes it £369.99 which makes it the cheapest 1070ti you can probably get at the moment

£50 off with opening of credit account

I do play games on a PC, hence why I have bought a graphics card for a PC...

The cheapest 1070s I can see that would be suitable for my build (ITX build in a Node 304 case) are about £360 from Amazon (Zotac or EVGA minis)

This is more powerful than my current card (GTX 1060 6Gb EVGA SC mini), more powerful than the 1070s I have been looking at, suitable for my build (blower style are perfect for ITX builds as all the heat goes out the back, even if they are a bit noisier and run a bit hotter) and will be (once the credit should be applied) the same price as a vanilla 1070.

Bloke at work is gonna give me 190 for my 1060 so a nice upgrade for 180 quid and 12 months interest free

It's a bit misleading, it's "enter code MCDHY at checkout to order on 12 Months Buy Now Pay Later and get your credit back". So you need to have/open a very credit account and you get £50 back into that, not as a straight-up discount. :< Good price though.

are you surprised? I have ordered branded shirts from them. They sent me different brand and when I complained they replied that the brand does not matter as both are made in the same factory....

good find OP but you don't need to justify the deal in the title

Unfortunately anything Very often causes automatic downvotes!

When I add the code it doesn't indicate anything except 12 bnpl. Usually it says that you get credit back. Not taking any chances

I have taken the plunge and ordered. I then contacted Very and they confirmed it had been applied and the credit will be made by 14/12.
I also have the transcript just in case!

Hi! If you dont want to open one of their credit accounts you can use this for a smaller discount:
Quote code LXJLJ at the checkout when you place an order of £300 or more for £30 back.

You can pay by card and they say they will return it back to your card. Code worked for me, hope it gets refunded.

MSI, so cold!

Their customer service is abysmal.

All i can say is no, avoid, if the OP played games on a PC he wouldnt even recommend this or post it.

This sounds crazy but i can confirm their cs is this nuts

Heated. Extremely good price, you could probably pay this and more for some of the fancy aftermarket gtx1070s out there.

Personally, i think the gtx1070ti is a bit of a case of nvidia milking the hell out of the already old 10 series, presumably because they haven't got the follow up ready, but with such weak competition from amd its hard to blame them too much for going with the easiest option for them.

Would like to pick one of these up but not quite enough to open a credit account with very. Will see if black friday brings any similar deals from other retailers...

First and Last time i tried Very was with the XBox X and the similar type of deal which they cancelled without any notification after a day, so Very cold from me.

This is a good deal if:

1) You plan on watercooling your GTX 1070 Ti
2) You don't mind risking Very

Otherwise, avoid.

Was that your first order? When I tried to apply to my account it only showed "buy now pay later" - no 50 off?
LXJLJ code worked for 30 off though.

No not my first order. I have the transcript so if there is any issue I have proof. Done loads of very codes and never had a problem though.

Even with the other code it's still a bargain

Good deal but I think I'm at the point of waiting for Volta which is rumoured for Q1.

Like others have said, you'll be charged the full price in the new credit account you open and at a later date hopefully have the credit applied.

As with all Very deals with codes, they can choose to not apply them or take them back after they have been applied for various reasons. They also have history or reopening the acccount , withdrawing the discount and asking you to pay / threatening to take you to court if you dont.

May seem like a cheap price but thats for a reason

Why would you need to watercool this?
Modern cards run much cooler than previous gen. Also blower style cards vent hot air out the case and don't turn your PC into an oven like a twin fan heatsink setup which vents air into the case thus cooking your chicken dinner inside.

Granted they are a little bit noisier at full load but you won't be able to hear it when you have headphones on when gaming. Other than that they are silent with normal day to day use.

Aggressive overclocking and it looks cool.

doesn't seem like it's worth the effort
they have a bad reputation for funny business
if it doesn't show on the invoice (PRINT IT OFF YOURSELF, you can't find it on your account later or in the confirmation emails) then they won't honour it.

please see the reviews from others, having transcripts or screen shots does not make a difference . Its in the T&C's as detailed -

"If, before accepting your order, we find that you are not entitled to use the code or do not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reject your order or alternatively process it without the promotional benefit being applied. If, after accepting your order, we find that you were not entitled to use the code or did not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reverse the benefit that you obtained. If you transacted on a cash basis e.g. by debit or credit card, we may take a further payment, equivalent to the value of the benefit obtained, from the card used. If you transacted on a credit basis, the value of the benefit obtained may be charged to your credit account."

So if they decide you used a code not given to you they can either charge your account the amount months after you had the product or charge your debit \ credit card the extra amount.

I was tempted but very sound like scum bags

Aggressive overclocking.

There is no more aggresive overclocking with boost3, unless you planning to use custom bios files or soldering gun to breach borders of limitations.
What ever you will push on air will be same under water as long as you have adequate cooling in your case.

I have a 780TI Sli setup atm. There is a £100 back on £500+ spend. I want to upgrade as 3gb vram is causing issues.

Is a GTX 1080 (the msi gaming one) worth an extra £50? (When compared to the msi gaming GTX 1070ti cut down to £439.99).

I wish to avoid single fan cards.

Yeah for £50 I would certainly get a 1080 over a 1070TI. There's some good articles about this but to me just feels like this is an unnecessary card

Thanks. I did a bit of reading aswell and decided to go for the 1080.

nps. I might take the plunge too if I can shield it from the wife and sell my 6G 1060

Eww very credit card eww

I know everyone hates on Very and I can completely understand but I've had no issue with them. Just lucky I guess.... *jinxes everything*

My hopes were so high and then I saw "Very". Thanks anyway!

I know why people are against them but its the cheapest 1070ti card online so why not buy it? the warranty on the card will be honoured by MSI no matter who you buy it from anyway (Amazon will give you 28 days then leave you in the hands of MSI)

Actually Amazon will replace/refund within 12 months for any faults and cover returns shipping.
12 months warranty should be standard from all retailers (consumer laws) but you'll find some retailers make it difficult.
It's a good price, but I'm not buying from Very.

Crikey a graphics card more expensive than a whole games console?

Very, very cheap

That don't make one spot of difference with them. I had 20 manuscripts saying they would refund my account. Fifteen phone calls later and 20 chats I finally got it.

same place msi gtx 1080 £100 off so 489.99
