note that these latest 10 series laptop mobile gpu's are now very near to the performance of the desktop equivalent

Graphics is GTX 1070 (not mobile edition)

Seems very high, but we'll see what the prices are across the board. Also worth noting the 10 series dont have an 'm' varient. They are the desktop ones, although slightly modified but not given the 'm' name.

Price isn't shocking considering the spec. That said if it was the 1080 card inside with a QHD screen I'd probably bite at this price. I'm hoping to upgrade my PC in the new year and yes this is a few hundred more than it will cost me for a desktop rig but it would give me the portability and also leave my older PC rig intact for a second gaming system.

It's a very good spec, but I don't think it's worth spending 2 grand on a laptop.

thats alot of horse power would this be noise be like on these

My MSI GS60 with almost identical specs (my graphics card is a GTX 970) runs silently. So I'd imagine this one too as well.

Two grand yet they offer you an external optical drive for thirty quid more. Surely at this price point they could include it lol

£1,999,.97 from Save-on-laptops?
Am I missing something? Whats the RRP?

Considering you can get a 970m laptop for £1k less I don't see the value...

Not a deal at all, but if you want to be a member of the first crew.

From what I've seen the chips suffer from being put in laptops, so though they are great vs previous laptop chips, dont expect quite the performance of the card equivalent.

these laptops at £1000, [email protected] £1500 or more 2 years ago. In the next 2 years and next gpu version, we will be here mentioning the exactly same thing. I personally consider the newer one a bargain proportionally to the price it was when the gtx970m came out. Saying so, I am not a laptop gaming man and obviously I would spend that money on a super desktop pc instead.

agreed would be better as a desktop cheaper ect but someone who travels and like to game i can see these selling to that group

The graphic card is gtx 1070 not gtx1070m

Wow, great specs. Does it double up as a radiator?

Looks like this is the standard launch price - 2p difference on scan.co.uk :
https://www.scan.co.uk/products/156-msi-gt62vr-6re(dominator-pro)-023-fhd-i7-6700hq-16gb-ddr4-256gb-m2-pcie-ssdplus1tb-hdd-8gb-gtx-1

2p in £2000 isn't really good enough to qualify as a hot deal!

Yes, heats up faster than a standard radiator too.
