I will say that the real challenging bit in these games is the platform parts such as the path of pain

Yeah it’s probably that I find the platforming in these games a lot easier than the super hard bosses.

that is really good. the path of pain still haunts me... curious, did you manage to beat the path of pain and how long did it take to practice? i never manage to beat that final level. I can manage white Hall and the final moth boss but not the path of pain. this is the few rare occasions i can admit defeat...

I haven’t beaten hollow knight yet, only about half way. The bosses are crazy in that game and I know some are supposed to be left until later but it gets demoralising.

be brave, it took me a long time to beat it, also try different build, and I hope you can manage to beat the path of pain:) i admit I probably can never beat that level

oh one more thing, if you like hollow knight, I bet you will like salt and sanctuary, bloodborne and dark souls. slow progression but very Cthuhum.
Real enjoyed the 1st game just completed it on the switch where it has 4 player couch co-op.

The best advice I have for the bosses in Hollow Knight is watch the fights on Youtube after you have given it a few tries yourself. It saves time and backtracking each time to learn the attack patterns and cues.
