Wow, I thought this was a brilliant price as I dont think Ive seen it under 20 quid anywhere else! This is part of their Easter sale.

Just to clarify that this is a price for the game only, but Im sure most Guitar Hero fans have a plastic guitar laying around somewhere! This is also instore only, the website is quoting 17.98

I also saw a copy of GH Greatest Hits for the same price, and I also picked up a copy of Blood Bowl for £14.98 - also New.

I hate gamestation.

Actually went in yesterday (usually avoid) to look at their sale.
Mostly poop, but I found Midnight Club LA PS3 new priced @ £2.98 so went to buy it, The 2 peeps behind the counter were mumbling to themselves about it. But they got the game from the draw put it in and then said "oh, by the way it's actually been priced up wrong, that'll be £12.98 please but we can knock off 10% because of the inconvenience"

Nob eds.
Whats the inconvenience? Me standing there like a lemon while you try to explain your error, then expecting me to pay?:x

Great price for what is, IMO the best guitar hero made yet. Unlike Van Halen which is pants in comparison.

I agree with you, Game are just as bad, especially online when they take an order, wait 2 days and the say sorry we made a mistake, never mind. I thought that if an item was priced up wrong, they had to honour that price. Obviously not.

It used to be called false advertising.

I hope you told them where they could stick their game and 10% Rant over

Ain't like that, cause I'm a nice guy. (still thought about it though:whistling:). Just walked out of the shop.
Tis why I prefer online these days,

Game are better but still, I get a guy/gal every 2 mins saying "ya all right there? Anything I could help ya with?"
(Eff, yeah, leave me alone.)

(oh and GH Metallica was also the same price in Game)

came on today to post this bargain but you beat me to it!

i picked up a copy yesterday in Glasgow Union Street branch - mine was actually marked as preowned but for the price i thought i would get it as cheapest i have ever seen it before is 18quid new and i have been after it for a while. got home and realised they had actually given me a brand new sealed copy win!

also picked up preowned guitar hero aerosmith for £4.98 which i thought was a bargain had always wanted it but didn't see the point paying much for it since its just for guitar and all the new games are for the full band (drums and vocals also) so well pleased with it for under a fiver

X

They were trying to con you out of a tenner for some cider.

I dont think the stores are obliged to sell it to you at that price.. something about invitation to treat or something lol.

If it's been priced as something, you have to honour it. I work in a shop and you do have to. I've had to reduce things plenty of times. Depends on how bad the misprice is though and how many times they've already cocked up that week with misprices. They'll have a budget set aside for it and if they do go over then they can say it was a mistake, either take it at proper price or not at all.

You don't have to honor it at all. It's still an invitation to treat till you actually pay for said item
A lot of stores do honor price mistakes as a gesture of good will depending on how bad he mistake
If they don't they are meant to take said items off sale for 24 hours

That's a common misconception and simply not true.

Yes it is. I've worked in several shops as manager, supervisor or just monkey. And it is true. I don't like it, because of arsey customers, but it's still true.

If I were to come into your store, take a price tag off an item that was £1 without anyone seeing and put it on an item that was £500, would you sell it to me for a quid? If so, please let me know where you work!

It's not true, and now you look foolish.

No, as I said in a previous post it depends on the misprice and the misprice budget you have per week. Depending on the type of shop the budget and allowed misprice varies. And if you think the sticker or tag has been tampered with in any way, of course you can refuse the sale. Obviously if something was tagged as £10 instead of £100, you're not going to let it go for that. But if it was £85 instead of £100, you're going to.

You've just proved my point - you do not have to honour mis-prices!

If it makes you feel better, then yes, you're right. How ridiculously silly of me to say that you do have to honour them DEPENDING on the misprice. How dare I try to explain myself. I'll try not to in future.

Go pick your dummys up for fecks sake and get a life ... who gives a ****.

Even the little consumer rights leaflet says that a shop doesn't have to sell you anything at any price if they don't want to. It's their stuff, they can do what they want. It used to be that they would decide to honour the price anyway if it was less than a fiver out and record it on a price discrepency sheet but now mostly they just take something off sale and put it out again later at the correct price.

Meanwhile, 'false advertising' has nothing to do with something being priced up wrong, it's when the contents of something is not or does not do what it says on the box.

Nothin like rockin out to All Nightmare Long, Master of Puppets and Welcome Home (Sanitarium) after a hard days sesh on Modern Warfare or Final Fantasy. Btw the solo on Master of Puppets is too bloody hard!!!

Well it is for me and thats on the medium difficulty setting.

Someone mentioned this in the same deal in HMV, however I checked and it was £20! for £10, I might give it a go!

Went in to the Slough gamestation at lunch and they only had the guitar combo in. Walked into Game and they had new copies of just the game in there for £9.98.

good deal, cheers

Had two copies on the shelf in Blackburn. Gonna get this tomorrow by trading.
