what is the HMV deal? and is it 'in store' only?

is this the game where you can add a mic and drums? or is it just guitar? i only have room for a guitar in my room so maybe the HMV deal is better for me? any advice will be greatly appreciated.

This one supports the drums and mic, the HMV one does not.I bought the HMV one, great deal, amazing game.

Cheers mate rep for the info  I guess I'l try and get the HMV one if there still on.

if you have woolworths with this game stocked it will be cheaper. my local woolies has loads of these, gunna wait a few days before i pick it up.

Can recommend the HMV deal, £34.25 after the vat adjustment. My 10 year old spent a lump of the day on this and rocked out big time. Heaps of fun.

Remember that you get 5 free dlc songs with the guitar solo bundle advertised here. Just go to the official website and enter your serial number.

Just bought 2 of the guitar packs for my kids........my local Argos is only 10 minutes, so easy to pick up and the kids will be mucho happy with these!

Heat added and THANKS to the OP!

The HMV deal is good too...but I'd rather cough up the few extra quid to get the latest edition .....apparently a much better guitar + the extra songs etc you can d/l.

Either way.... some good deals around this Christmas!

I got the ps3 guitar hero 3 from woolies for £29.99. My best mate got an xbox for christmas (she asked for a ps3), so i traded my ps3 in for an xbox so we could play online together. Now i don't have a guitar hero and woolies is out of stock :? :'(

HMV are supposed to be doing the guitar Heros World Tour with Guitar for £35. This offer starts tomorrow (Boxing Day). I think it may be Instore only. This is what a sales guy told me on Tuesday. I have not posted it until I go in tomorrow to confirm the deal.

Is the guitar different? My sister just brought the older version (legends of rock?) from Currys for around £60  (I did try explaining to her if she had a browse on the interweb she would find it elsewhere a lot cheaper). She was adamant that the guitars were the same though

They're not the same - the World Tour guitar is physically a bit bigger and it has a sensor section lower down the fretboard which you can use to tap strum or to play the notes that don't need strummed. They're not massively different though, I prefer the World Tour one's size although mine has a strum bar that ccan be quite squeaky at times.

I agree and can confirm this, I prefer the world tour guitar, BUT I like the songlist on the songs on Guitar Hero 3 better.

I got world tour from HMV a couple weeks back for 60 quid, so kinda annoyed, but good price now!

But I guess I saved by waiting and getting Guitar Hero 3 from HMV a couple days ago for £34 something

Oh, the guitar on guitar hero 3 feels smaller after using the world tour, although there is actually not a lot of difference in regards to one being better than the other.

Ok mate thx repped

It's going to come down to personal opinion in some ways, I found I enjoyed more of the World Tour soundtrack - I particularly like that it's not covers anymore, it's the original recordings.

John

I enjoy world tours soundtracks more too, KILLERS DLC!
