It's not an across the board deal though.

Tesco sometimes stock some items only available in certain regions. This cider is very likely only available around wales (I don't live in Wales and when I log in, it shows as unavailable).

Anyway, not a deal per se as bottled ciders are typically 3 for £5 at Tesco anyway (Just like how ales are always 4 for £6)

As stated above, under the location tab, the deal is available in Wales as it is a regional product. A case of 12 of this cider is currently retailing on the producer’s website for £30. Through Tesco you can get 12 for £20. A £10 saving makes this a deal in my eyes.

A case of 12 st peters porter is £26 on the producers website (a case at Tesco and other supermarkets would be £18). 10 Bottles of black sheep amber is £17 on the producer's site (£1 for an extra 4 bottles at Tesco and other supermarkets).

Or in cider terms:

Henry Westons vintage, £27.50 for 12 bottles on producer's site.... £20 for 12 at supermarkets.

Pretty much everyone knows it's more expensive buying direct from the brewer. So the deal you posted is just "normal price" as such at supermarkets.

Had it been down to £1 a bottle or £4.70 for 3, then that is indeed a saving on the usual price.

This cider is normally £2.20 a bottle in Tesco, therefore £26.40 for 12 (£30 from producer). This is the “normal price”. I understand what you are saying about things being cheaper in supermarkets generally, but this is now down to £1.67 a bottle (£20 for 12 and a £6.40 saving vs “normal price”).

Therefore I still believe that even a £6.40 saving on 12 bottles is a good saving and qualifies as a deal.

Have you got nothing better to do on this glorious day than troll on people’s posts!?
Gwynt Y Ddraig make some of the nicest ciders. The Gold Medal is my favourite, but Black Dragon is a close second place. Agree with the above comments though about availabilty. Whenever we drive down the A55 we jump off at Conwy and got to the Tesco just by the exit to get a crate or two.
This stuff is lethal Love it however
Never had it but think that these are good time to try it

I second that. Couldn’t have summed it up better!
Living on the wirral in normal times I'd drive to tesco in mold to get me 24-36 bottles of this stuff as its my favourite cider. Somehow though I don't think the journey would be classed as essential. Heat given for price
I'm partial to Dickens Cider

I will have to visit sometime when this is all over. It’s about an hour from me.
Love this stuff - it's one of my favourite ciders, but sadly living in south-east England I can never get it here. Always make sure that I get some when visiting Wales though.
