Would good to have one here too, I wouldn't fancy seeing the green hulk kick off if I ditched the dinning table for it lol

nice clothes horse

NEVER squat alone even with a rack its to dangerous! A lot safer with a smith machine or jones machine even better but still would even go any where near heavy with squatting or any other free weight lifting alone without someone to spot me.

Look at all dem GAAAAAINNZZZZEZZ!!

this is a waste of money, just use breeze blocks

You can't squat properly on a smith machine. I can't see how squat racks are unsafe if you have the bars set up correctly. I'm going to measure my garage height when I get in and if this fits I'll buy it.

If I only had the space!

I brought the version without the lat attachment for £179 from the same seller a little over a month ago. Yeah the person who said never to squat alone even with a rack is insane, these are made to be used solo and are very safe once you set the bars at the correct weight. personally i think squats are better for you using free weights in a squat rack rather then a smith machine as you utilize your core more.

Excellent deal these are well worth the money if you have the space. I have the bodycraft f430 with lat pull even though I spent several hundred more it was well worth the money.

Free weights make you balance ,hand have a much safer stance and movements. Only the uninitiated use a smith machine for any exercise

Do you rate it? I'd prefer the one without the pull-down attachments and it's rated to 250kg rather than 225kg too.

You must be a big hit down your local gym with that sort of advice! Bet you're a serial spotter...the guy that runs over and tries to grab the bar as soon as the press slows down a touch lol

I just spent 30 quid on a few lengths of scaffold tube and a few connectors, dug some holes and concreted them in the ground for my own pull up bar. I can move the bar up or down as necessary, I also have a pair of open tube rests that I can place my barbell on when squatting.

Rather spend 30 quid and a day off digging holes for a bespoke workout station than throw a couple of hundred quid on something like this

Is this a sex thing?

Gotta love the Hodgetwins

Heat from me, wife would kill me if I ordered. Real men squat with a bar, smiths are for pretty boys who don't like hard training. If a gym don't have a squat rack then show me the door!

Vanity is a disease in this country. We are in middle of a Steroid epidemic fuelled by MTV.

In 20 years we will be like Australia, terrible at sports but AMAZING at six packs and sit ups.

Yeah because everyone who wants to keep fit/workout takes steroids, it's better than the alternative anyway. Watch superfat vs superskinny and you see what I mean (for the fat people more specifically).

How are you finding the rack? Is it stable when doing pull ups? Also what's the maximum weight you've had on the bar holders and safety bars?

Seems like a pretty expensive clothes hanger to me ....

http://www.t-nation.com/img/photos/06-063-diet/image005.jpg

I bought this (without lat) a few months ago in lovely orange.
Overall I'm impressed with it, well made bit of kit. The only negative I've found was the chrome paint on the end of the safeties peeled straight away, but I just rubbed them down and they're fine now.
It's a bargain compared to its competitors, but standard price for this particular model. Heat given anyway.

Anyone used one of these in anger? Know someone who bought a Gymano bench on eBay, said it was a bit fragile. Good price for new kit, second hand squat racks are pretty cheap if you're lucky enough to find one locally, so if you don't need the full power rack that's what I'd recommend. In fact, don't really see why you'd have one of these over a squat rack...

Heated.

anyone know of decent olympic bars on offer anywhere? Best plates I could find are here

Recommendations?!?

I weigh 108kg and with a 10kg weight vest its fine, doesn't wobble at all doing pullups.

Ive had 185kg on it for squats and it was fine, I dont ever really drop weights on it as the holes are at perfect distances for my height (5'9) for bench press and squats

I upgraded from my squat stand simply for the convenience. This comes with 4 pins and 2 safety bars, changing heights on them takes seconds. With my old bodypower one, I had to unscrew the pin and raise/lower the vertical bar to change heights. Swapping from squats to bench was a bit of a pain.
It's a lot more stable as well, I work out alone and really don't like the idea of dropping 100kg on my neck.

thanks! was doing Starting Strength at the gym for a few months but felt cheated paying £40 to use a squat rack....
Anyone know where to get a cheap bar/plates and bench i could get to go with this?
