Anyone provide a review for this bed how's the quality, do the slats tend to break? Thanks!

Bought it back in 2019 for £150 and nothing has broken since then

Bought the same style bed in a slightly different design about 18 months ago from Argos for £166 for the King size. Very sturdy bed, secure slats and plenty of storage underneath. Seems like a decent price right now following all of the increases.

I’ve had this bed for a good few years. I’ve moved house twice and it’s been taken apart and put back together a few times. It’s lasted really well. Very good price

Had there been any obvious wear to the faux leather parts? It's this that concerns me as when the top layer comes off it looks awful

I'd be all over this if it just wasn't faux leather...

Heathdon seems to be the fabric covered version, £208 for the double once the 20% comes off with the voucher. argos.co.uk/pro…8:1

How does it hold up to a furious session?

I’ve had many furious sessions on this bed and never had any issues.

Not sure what would happen if two people were involved though.

Would've been ideal if it was fabric!

Got this for £180 when it was on offer last here. Pretty happy with it. Stuck a new Otty mattress on it

Tip: build the frame first and set it to one side while you build the bed. (edited)

Is this bed supposed to be packaged as two boxes, One long slim pack and one wider?

yes, headboard and sideboards and few hours of installation. Have fun. The piston do not work until you put the mattress, so you need to tighten and fix it when it is on top and it is above you.

Same experience. I have a small guitar amp holding mine together. Did the sides of yours have what feels like pins or nail ends hanging out(under the side fabric)?

Bought this. A bit cheap and nasty. Pins sticking out, slat broke within a few weeks…

Bought a similar one from ikea. Cost quite a lot more but is much better quality…

for a spare bed maybe…. Main bed - I’d say look elsewhere

I was about to ask how it compared to the IKEA one. I was looking in particular at the Malm one in king size which is currently £529, so yes, considerably more expensive than the Argos one. I've looked at them in IKEA and they are really solid as far as I can tell.

Great. Looking for something like that right now. Is it heavy to open it?

Mine arrived today. Had it built on my own within about 2 hours. Easy to build if you follow the instructions and stages. Would be easier with two people. Looks great and feels solid. Lifts up and down with very little effort. Very pleased with it
