Turnip and potatoes.

Or Swede it's called in some areas

I use these whole for when I go fishing, the Groupers love them.

It's 99p for a reason. It's the most vile thing ever. It's incredible what they throw together and then call 'food'. I'm sure the Scottish don't even like it. They just pretend to because it's tradition.

Most people I know like haggis. Don't judge something on what it consists of, judge it on taste. There is a reason haggis and black pudding have been around for yonks. Despite what they are made of they taste good.

Nothing wrong with eating sheep's lungs. I used to make haggis and I love the stuff, more pepperthe better.

There is a great tradition in these islands for eating offal in many different sorts of foods. Haggis is usually well seasoned and spiced and good for something different occasionally.

Thanks will try this!

Is it encased in a sheep's stomach?

Lucky fish. Do the fish manage to open the casing themselves?

Traditionally it is. Most cheaper ones are in artificial skins. Same idea as sausages.

get some stewing steak in

Do they have a veggie version? I like normal haggis but some of the veggie ones are nice too.

Most the cheaper versions are not "real" Haggis. Check the ingredients next time you buy. It should be from sheep but a lot of them are from pork.
I prefer Organic free range haggis! Killed the traditional way using rolling boulders down the hills. Or if you cant get that. Buy Macsweens Haggis. You get what you pay for.

it's the exact same one as Aldi as McKechnie Jess make their own label. Prefer Macsween or Simon Howie though.

...and it's not just for neeps and tatties! have a look at the recipes on their website! Amazing. One that's not there though is the only haggis dish I've had - Haggis Omelette! Brilliant.

Love haggis cant belive i hadnt had it sooner.

Another scotish great is square sausage amazing in pieces

A local Nisa Store sells a tinned version made by Grants of Scotland, exactly the same taste, nice and peppery, but stores much longer, I love the stuff whether its tinned, chilled, frozen, meat or vegan, great with chips.
