Been working on getting a bargain price on this myself!

At its most expensive its been £699 on AO but you can now grab this for £495 at Currys with the voucher code (or price match at AO if they deliver quicker - they price match including voucher codes!)

AO just put their price up from 549 to 579 literally a day after they did this price match for me, Curry’s prices tend to follow in 1-2 days so expect this to go ip pretty quickly!

The Haier HB16WMAA 60/40 Fridge Freezer uses clever Fresher Techs technology to keep your groceries fresher for longer. With the My Zone drawer you can set different temperatures for different types of food. This lets you safely defrost raw chicken or fish without accidentally freezing your milk and yogurt.

Non-plumbed water dispenser

Enjoy a refreshing cold drink whenever you like with the built-in water dispenser. Just fill up the tank that sits inside the fridge – there's no plumbing needed, so you can position the HB16WMAA wherever works best.

Total No Frost

Tired of spending your free time defrosting? The HB16WMAA's Total No Frost system prevents ice from building up inside the freezer. So, you can maximise the available storage space and save yourself a chore.

Seal freshness into your food

The Super Cool and Super Freeze functions help to seal freshness into newly bought food. Turn them on before you go shopping – when you get back, each compartment will be cooled to the perfect temperature, so you can quickly chill your groceries to keep them fresh.

More storage space

With 424 litres of room, the Haier HB16WMAA lets you store more food, so it's great for hungry households. The French-style fridge doors make it easy to get what you want, and add style to your kitchen.

Good deal, great price. I'm looking for an ice-cream maker and it's about £250 for a decent one... for twice as much you can have this. Amazing when you think about it.

No too sure how that relates to this? Does it make ice cream also?

Or just store tubs of it from Iceland

at £2 a tub you could have 250 of them for the same price as this
Before placing an order it’s best to check the reviews on trust pilot or their Facebook post comments. I regret it as now I’m concerned about getting a damaged product and not getting my money back. I don’t even have a delivery date.

Hope you don't have problems but read other people having issues getting through to them to get refunds/replacements. Currys always had a long wait to get hold of someone (spent over an hour waiting on the phone when my PS4 Pro box was battered up a few years ago. The customer service was very poor as they throw you around different departments before handling your query), can only imagine it's way worse now.

I'm dreading my kitchen appliances breaking down and having to order a new one from anywhere at the moment.

Edit: oh and iirc they had a premium number you had to call, 5p per min with a connection charge, hope they don’t that BS anymore.

Or £449 for the model without the ice maker: currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

Quite tempted by that one.

Not too keen on the double doors...reading reviews mention about doors sills being too small to hold many things.

Currys do a single door version very similar for £449 I was looking at

I read the same so didn’t order from Currys when i brought this but got AO to price match and got it delivered next day! I had a problem with the water dispenser they cane and replaced it in 2 days and now it works perfect! So my advice is always get AO to price natch as their service is much better

Cancel the order and buy from somewhere else that price matches?
I’ve got this fridge and it’s amazing. The freezer draws are much bigger than you think.

Try weQforyou, they seek out the alternative free numbers and phone for you. I still use it a couple of times a month but definitely not as often as I used to.

The alternative was a different brand from AO and also £50 more. I haven’t tried yet but seems like hours worth of call time with several attempts and different departments to speak to. I don’t think they refund without talking to them either. If I see something better I’ll have more incentive to call but its’s not easy with young kids in the house.
Curry's customer service is non existent right now I've spent hours trying to return a mini fridge I bought from them but always get cut off. Avoid until this is over.

As the dispenser is located in the fridge section it's probably just for chilled water. Ice dispensers need to be located in the freezer compartment for obvious reasons, which tends to limit them to the larger 'American' style units and cost a lot more - I bought one last year just because I wanted the ice function and none of the ones with dispensers in the fridge offered that.
Thanks for the code. I'm looking for Samsung American fridge freezer which at £830 with code took 10%, so £747...then employee discount of 7% brought it to circa £695! 👌🏻
This freezer is a Which magazine best buy, scores 79%. The very similar Kenwood KMD60X19 scores 86% and costs less but no water dispenser.

Highest scoring fridge is 90% and costs £900.

Doesn't relate at all. Just making the point that a small freezer unit costs all that money and that a full size machine like this is only twice as costly. Mind you, I think the same about iPhones compared to 65" tellys. All that money for a tiny wee phone or you can have a massive telly and a cheap phone that does the same job for less.

About two weeks ago I bought the version without the water chiller and with veg drawer instead, and it is fantastic currys.co.uk/gbu…tml. Whisper quiet when the compressor is running, but majority of the time it is silent. Loads of space and looks ace. The drawers are really spacious and also have a mini drawer inside each too to maximize space and also freeze things quicker than bundling into a drawer, about twice the height of an ice cube tray. Fridge is great too, but it's a pretty standard affair. I was a bit cautions as I couldn't find much about the brand, but very happy so far. Drawers were the biggest selling point for me as it stops LO from opening and leaving open a traditional freezer door!
Thanks @Andyc2020 , purchased through AO.com, they price matched the code and have given free delivery.

Thanks! Ended up ordering the non-water dispenser version for £50 less, free delivery on Weds. Wouldn't mind a water dispenser, but I don't think it's worth an extra £50, so we can live without

I have one of those water dispensers on a Samsung and I find them so gimmicky. Those things take up so much valuable fridge storage real estate space, it really isn't worth having. Why not just have a fridge glass jug that you pour filtered water into, where it will be kept proper cold and you get the same result.

Can anyone vouch for the quality of Haier fridge freezers? I've always liked Beko as a value for money brand, but don't see them feature much in stockists with American style fridge freezer models.

So far we're very pleased with ours, the extra space compared to our old one is a big plus and so far it does what it says on the tin. There's a display on the front of this one for controlling the temperature, which is a nice addition as at least you know the temperature is being maintained Vs the simple 0-7 dial on the inside of cheaper fridges.

I was reluctant to spend so much on a fridge freezer, but as long as it lasts I'm sure we'll get our moneys worth.

Thanks very much for your review. Haier has some interesting models on AO or whatever other retailer I can find that does a proper delivery and has decent customer service. I want to get a good model before the Brexit winter of 2021.

The delivery guys didn't have a problem taking it round the back and bringing it in to my kitchen. I was surprised given the situation, I was just thankful they carried it to the back door, then they asked where it was going indoors... bonus!

Obviously this wouldn't apply to everyone.
