Spam, below, from Asda was more appetising.

Whats the difference between Haig Club and CLubman? I'm a whiskey newbie but had a shot or 2 of clubman on the weekend and it was not bad.

I suspect David Beckham's aftershave is more palatable.

Haven't tried this bit the reviews are very poor. Plenty others to buy.

Not wishing to douse the heat from your deal Lynnie, but I'll try to add something constructive. I've only bought the Haig Clubman, but from what I've read, the two differ very little. The Clubman is quite a poor whisky, even at the discounted price I paid. There was an initial alcohol heat, but when that subsided, there was no taste at all. Not even a bad taste as some have described. I think some people may be attracted to the 'Single Grain' status, but there are many good blends out there. Chivas Regal is a popular blend, and is often discounted to around £20. But even cheap blends have more taste than this.

Junk brand. The sooner it dies off the better.

Not even @ £15 could tempt me. You can get Aberlour 12, Old Pulteney 12 or Highland Park 12 (to name just a few vastly superior drams) for less than this price

The former is cheap, overpriced grain whisky, sold at a premium price to cover the cost of having David Beckham's endorsement and the latter is worse.

To me, it tastes no better than Bell's 8yr old and that is rotten stuff.

Cold - £33.99
