I flew direct from Manchester to Beijing with these guys in October and I was very impressed! I prefer not to stopover so approx. 10 hours direct there and back was perfect for me. Lots of different flights available as well.

They are also one of the world's few 5-star airlines - I can vouch for how well they treat you in the economy class. Plenty of alcohol and food

All through May Manchester to Beijing is £388 return. Great Wall of China from there is a must!

Best holiday i ever had and paid £750 for flights with virgin from dec to jan for three weeks over xmas and new year, and the wall was great, not like its loads of money to go there. Very cheap when your there. Great price. we went Heathrow to Shanghai.

I think it depends where you go and what you have seen before. I am luckily enough to have seen a lot of the world and i loved seeing the wall, but i saw "Tiger Mountain Great Wall", which i visited when i went to Dangdong on the North Korean border - it was great. On my trip, we (i was travelling with a German i bumped into) - we did not see any other tourists, but only small sections of the wall remained.

I have heard only bad things about the wall day trips from Beijing though and as such in think you have a valid point, but i don't think all the wall is bad, maybe just where the mass tourists go...

Is that the price from Chinese visa application service center ? or agency ?
please keep note: their mother group (HNA Group) is now having serious cash flow/debt problem (it make be OK for now as they do have support from forbidden-mention power group behind the curtain). I suppose buyers could get credit card protection.

Official price via consulat in London. Issue is that the 'Visa Fee' is £151 if I remember correctly but then you need to pay an additional £70 or so as an admin fee or such like. Completely unavoidable. Think going via an agency can actually be cheaper as they can avoid the admin fee.
