woah......
Looks expensive. You also get it free if you bought index.

Remember if you already have a Valve Index VR headset then you get this for FREE. Do NOT preorder it, it will be added to your Steam Library's automatically in March.
Gonna be an expensive month for me... unless Valve delay it like they usually do.
Been announced it will work with quest when connected to pc.
Wow can't wait for this, will it work on oculus Rift?

Does anyone here use foot tracking on Oculas Rift... Any suggestions for something on a budget. An omni-directional treadmill is well out of my budget lol and I'm sure games like this hugely benefit from this type of input.

the bed that looks good.
Not sure its worth splaying £800 on a decent gaming rig for this ...and then Oculus Rift on top. Eeesh i wanna play that so bad!
I’m going to wait it out since the pre-orders up until March, I’m not sure if there’ll be any third party sellers but I’ll just have to wait and see.
Vr games are starting to really get going now.
Well that's Cyberpunk 2077 usurped from the top of my wishlist.
Now to freeze myself like Cartman... see you next March!
Actually more excited about this than Cyberpunk
Wish I had VR

Finally! Half Life has been revived! Wish there was a non VR version lol
You also get this game free even if you only purchase the new 'knuckle' controllers (for those upgrading from a vive etc)
96 upvotes for a £41 game requiring a expensive piece of equipment and a decent enough PC. I'm shocked!

...in a series that has hasn't seen a new release for over 12 years. Nostalgia is strong with this one.
Have to say, initially I was skeptical when I heard the rumors and initial announcement, but the trailer was really really good, and apparently it also comes with a full level editor for developing new modules. This is the definitive VR experience and exactly what the VR platforms need.
Glad that it works with WMR headsets, nabbed one of the Lenovo Explorer headsets + controllers when they were reduced to £99 last black friday
Please do non VR version as well valve

Huh that's probably why they made this game just a publicity stunt and marketing stunt for Index and to gain profit back from Epic

Are the Lenovo WMR headsets any good, wanting to get a second headset for two player with my son, but not wanting to fork out for anything too expensive Rift or Hive etc. I did see the deal you mentioned last year, but wasn't looking back then, here's hoping something similar pops up this year.
Have tried the Lenovo Explorer as well as the Acer AH101 and they are very similar in specs.

Pros:

- Both very easy to setup and get going quickly, honestly, it's almost plug and play if you have a Graphics card that supports VR. I particularly Like how you can flip the headset visor up to immediately take you out of the game.

- Light design is great for extended play sessions and this is quite a comfortable headset to wear, akin to PSVR.

- The motion controllers are fantastic, easy to pair, ergonomic and work great in nearly everything i have tried. Obviously not as feature rich as the Index controllers, but a great entry product. I have mine set up with rechargeable AA's, works a treat.

- screen resolution is fab at 2,880 x 1,440, definitely a noticeable upgrade when paired side by side against PSVR.

Cons:

- Not every VR game supports WMR (but almost all of the good ones do / or have some form of limited support. A list of supported titles can be found here: reddit.com/r/W…us/)

- RRP is very expensive at £400, but it’s worth picking these up for >£150 if you can find one.

- you do still notice the black edges of the lenses, but this isn't a deal breaker.

- Microsoft store, I don't use it, I don't really want to, and personally I don't like that integrated experience.

Here's hoping for more headset deals on Black Friday as I think Half Life Alyx is going to be what sells VR for a lot of potential customers. I really would recommend these headsets to anyone thinking about getting into VR

I'm in the same boat! I love PSVR, but I really want this without having to buy more hardware and another PC.
