These are awful. Had them a year ago and returned them the day after. The wood is thin and feels like it would break it you chopped something on it. Save your cash.

Bamboo will wreck your knives and take the edge off quicker than glass... take it into consideration if you have half decent knives

This depends on the materials of the knife you use but generally soft wooden boards are much better on the blade than glass, marble of granite despite people’s understanding. Check what knives you have before deciding what copping board is best.

Bamboo isn't a softwood, technically it's a grass but when used as a wood it is extremely hard, supposedly harder and stronger than steel, which will wreck your knives regardless of what material your knife is constructed from.

Glass, marble and granite chopping boards are ridiculous, just don't use them.
Reckon the plastic ones are the best. Weve put bamboo pizza boards in the dishwasher and theve come out bent and distorted.
Pine is supposed to good as it has disinfectent qualities although not sure for how long.
Bamboo is most probably the last thing I would want to cut things on.

I can't believe I used plastic chopping mats before. You end up ingesting a lot of plastic.

A really bad idea.

Would seriously dissuade anyone from using plastic chopping boards.

Bamboo boards are typically a bit harder than a hardwood chopping board, but certainly no where near steel or other hard surfaces.

That's ridiculous.

I use bamboo chopping boards without issue, but my knives have a 55 rockwell hardness rating.

A bamboo board is nothing like using steel or glass
