Better to eat cold food than be poisoned by carbon monoxide or burn your tent down.

A good idea to have a wind shield around it, if you don't have a proper wind break stand the plastic case in a v shape at the back to shelter it a bit.
Can't see any decent deals. They all seem to have been doubled in price originally.
Gas cartridges reasonable (Camping Gaz) 4 for a fiver @ Halfords currently. Some reviewers saying you get a bit more gas in these than cheaper makes, cheapest I've seen elsewhere is £3.99 for 4 at Home Bargains.

I bought this one 4 years ago and still going strong. Use it a fair bit on allotment. £10 is okay but wouldn't pay full price. I normally buy bottles at B&M's usually 4 for £4 but they shoved prices up this year to a £5 when I bought some a few weeks back. B&M's have increasingly shoved many of the goods up lately. Had to laugh B&M claimed on a dispaly for gas bottles £4.99 that recommend prices was £34. They charge £12.99 for stove

Yes I have noticed that as well, a majority of what they sell is now the same price or cheaper in the supermarkets, I hardly bother going to B&M any more.
Cold for me. It’s £10 regular price in lots of places including B&M. Halfords I’ve just “discounted” to match everyone else’s regular price.

Which is exactly the point that I was making!
Exactly the same as the one I got from ASDA for about £6 a few years ago. Work well as long as there isn't a wind. I bought some metal wind breaks that poke into the ground and with those around it they are fine.

Obviously depends on how much you use them. In my experience I would estimate you need 2 cans for a long weekend's camping. We usually manage to make 2-3 days worth of daily cooked breakfasts and a number of hot drinks per canister.
A lot of these are used in Australia - a lot of users have regretted it!

In my experience they last 5 mins of good cooking power, then fizzle out for the remainder
Looks like a modded Linksys WRT54GL router.

Which metal wind breaks did you use please?
Use tin foil folded around some garden canes( the small green ones they called in pea sticks). Just wrap each end around the cane and use some of the other ones to support the tinfoil at either side of it at your given distances. Job done cheap as chips and no weight in it .

Can't remember the specifics but think I got them cheap in Blacks or Millets ages ago. They look like these though.

They have them upside down though. You push the right angled bits down and that pushes the metal spikes into the ground.

Comes in very handy when we have Power cuts, think on.
Voted hot. Yes £20 original price is inflated, but you cant buy these everywhere for £10. They are £12.99 in go-outdoors and £14.99 in mountain warehouse for example, They may be £10 in B&M, but I dont have a B&M near me, and frankly that it is not a store I would go out of my way to visit.
The gas canisters last ages in my experience.
I have the blue one as shown in this picture, no problems using it for past 2 years
No price in title

Or get a compact induction hob. A basic 500w one cooks and boils water much faster than a 1500w non-induction electric hob. They start quickly (no warming period), they dont waste heat which is handy on a hot day, and they wont trip the site's fuse. Think i got mine when maplin had a half price offer on. Used it much more than i thought i would.
Normal price less than £10 in B&M stores £9.99 and in Home Bargain.
