"light to fuel the battery" - so a small solar panel then, same as the casio watches ?

Citizen Eco-Drive are fantastic. Got 12 years of faultless timekeeping from my last watch. You don't need much light to keep them going, months in a drawer in the bedroom and it is still ticking away. Nice looking watch as well. Great guarantee and they stick by it.

I got the skyhawk version which is also eco drive and radio controlled and in full titanium which retails around £450, great watches!

Stainless steal.

Bought my brother an eco drive watch last Christmas for around the same price. Face is quite big but he really likes it. Keeps excellent time

I have two eco drive watches wouldnt buy anything else... will be buying this one too..bargin

just ordered one!! great stuff heat added

Nice watch for the money. I have a feeling it is made to a budget compared to my other 3 eco drive's. The strap doesn't feel as solid for a start. Would be nice to have a rotating bezel too. Looks great on the wrist though, and will keep excellent time like my others.
Sales assistant in Argos tried to sell me a 2 year warranty, until I pointed out it already has a 5 year one!

Nice one, ordered!

Tempted. I wear a Solar powered digital watch generally, but I wanted to wear one of my smarter watches the other day and all of the batteries were flat.. Since one of them is a Tag, battery changes are really expensive.

So I have been looking for a cheap, Rechargable watch for a while and this is ideal.

one ordered.............thank you very much

Got a similar one to this last year for £79.99 also from argos down from about £200.

Really great watch. Hasn't missed a beat.

Apart from the strap this is a good watch - I have a similar one that is about 9 years old now - still has max charge,
no blemishes on the watch face at all

I know what you mean, the batteries for my solid gold Rolex are soooo expensive, I guess I'll have to rely on the clock in my Bentley Continental GT, either that or just ask my butler???

Ehh? Why the sarcasm.. I am just saying that battery changes (not the actual batteries) for expensive watches are not worth it.. I would rather buy this, then pay £100 to have a battery change on my Tag.

Picked mine up from argos. Exactly as it says on the tin. Looks amazing. Feels a bit heavy ..and once again...looks amazing..

just ordered and for once there appears to be plenty of stock - at least in Birmingham

EliTom

Love my eco drive. Looks better though!

Reserved one, seems in stock anywhere.

I think it was something to do with the implied/ unintentional bragging.

Excellent watches. Very accurate, robust, look good and comfortable to wear. Sure, you can buy watches much cheaper than this but they look awful and will fall apart in no time!

Edit: Just checked and they must of finally started selling the UK watches again with Sapphire crystal, why on earth they went through that phase of just putting normal glass in them is anyone's guess.

But still seems the UK doesn't have as full a range as the German's do.

Can anyone confirm if this has glow in the dark hands/dial?

Thanks

More fool you for paying. Rolex will replace the battery on an Oysterquartz for free. Just contact any of their official service centres.

just picked one up ... and it's going back. As others have said, strap is awful (I don't expect too much for this price but even so ... ) and it looks a little cheap to me. Not going to vote either way but I'd say try to see if before buying.
