Bargain price to stand in queues all day for a short go on the odd game. Save your money, play the gazillion games you probably already own in the comfort of your own home.

Where's it at?
prices have gone up since last year
Ordered, brilliant thanks
It's probably worth mentioning that under 10s are free with each paying adult.
Its also worth noting the early entry is bogus those with all weekend passes go in first so u still have massive queses if u pay for early entry.

Crap! Just paid for two tickets then read this, my son is 9, I should have known because I went last year.

U can get 50% off any ticket with virgin media. I go every year and always get 50% off my early access so stop spreading lies thanks.
This used to be decent event years ago when it was in London Earls court, nowadays just full of pesky kids running from console to console

Oh, I see

"I go every year and always get 50% off my early access so stop spreading lies thanks."

I said the Early Access ticket is the standard ticket with the Virgin Media offer, and you said you get the early access ticket. Not sure where my lie is?

So the Early Access is the standard ticket? So I'm not lying?
Already booked yesterday

Also go every year

The early entry is worth it in my opinion you still get to do the big games with not that big a cue then you got time to mooch around the rest of the show

Ah clearly mis interpreted what you put and read it as that you onlyt get the standard ticket with virgin media. NM
The only tickets left are early entry on Thursday

Gutted! I didn't realise they allocated certain tickets to VM customers only, I thought it was just discounted for all tickets. It doesn't tell you that until you login to book the tickets.

Shame as only today all my friends confirmed to go Saturday as they got time off work, and now the discounted tickets have sold out!!! Boo.

Ha ha.

Yeah we went last year and I think the only thing we managed to get on was some old school arcades. Really can not to be bothered to queue up an hour or so for 5 minutes on a game.

Contact them and they’ll probably give you a refund. They did for me last year when I had to move from Sunday to Saturday - they refunded the Sunday tickets then I bought new Saturday ones.
Shame it's located in a S hole lol.
Great deal, what is it?

Sorry @BuzzDuraband , but THIS!!! I went to last years event and all the good and hyped games had massive queues (the biggest queues by far were for the Nintendo Switch games especially Mario Odyssey). Also an utter lack of freebies, and the gaming stalls selling memorabilia and collectables were vastly overpriced.

More like the outskirts of a S hole, it’s next to Birmingham Airport.

Isn't Birmingham as a whole just a horrible place? lol
Think I'll be giving this a miss this year. First went in 2011 in London which was excellent and found it far better than the 2 times I've been to Birmingham, I feel it's got a bit oversubscribed and the queues are just ridiculous to the point where it takes the fun out of it. Can be worth it for the freebies you can nab, but on balance, not going to bother. Hot deal nontheless, just thought I'd give me 2p on what it's like lately.
I went a couple of times when it was at Earl's Court, the first (or one of the first ones) and the last one there. I could probably sum up my last experience by mentioning the 1h30m we queued up to get a 5-10min go at Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor, barely enough time to get a sense of what the game was like. The event was cool, but it seems like every year people complain about too many people being there that the queues are too long, and yet every year they try to cram in more people.

Used to go before it moved to bloody Brummieland!
I went last year and loved it. Got to play far cry and ni no kuni and listened to an orchestra play game music, watched some of the overwatch tournament. The finals of the pokken tournament. Played a few classic arcade games and a handful of indie games mostly for switch. Sat on a big ass dragon and got some cool pics around. Even played a game of thrones card game in the board game area. And only got the half day ticket, so I disagree with people saying you don't get to do anything, I had 4hrs there and did loads.

Yes I did after my post and they somehow managed to just take for the one ticket and removed the second one from my account which was cool
You can definitely fit in 4 big games in a day but I'd say it's worth going for the 2 days to get all you want done. I've been a couple of times now but I'm not feeling it this year; I don't expect much to be there but we'll see what's announced at E3. The queue times were improved from the year before btw believe it or not.
The missus and me went last year for a couple of days and we both enjoyed it. Yeah, there are masses lining up to play the latest games, but we just enjoyed the atmosphere if nothing else. Bought a few bits, was a great experience. Went to the after party on the Saturday and that was pretty fun for the price. Beers were vastly over priced though.
Anyway, booked again for this year. Enjoyable weekend away. Much more fun than the £30 I used to spend to watch 90 mins of grown men falling over each other from a tiny push on a football pitch

It’s not at your moms yard this year. It’s in Birmingham, the second city. Pretty sure you can probably get a train from whichever dump you live in.
Took my son year before last, was a mixed bag some of the indie and retro games were great, but the queues for the main games were a nightmare, waited nearly an hour for one and my son needed the toilet, I asked the organisers if they could hold my place in the queue and they said no. For a show based around programming it baffles me why they can't manage virtual queues where you just go there at your designated time/position.
Konamicode... What are you? Like 12?

I live in London. The 1st City

Much prefer it outside of London, at least Brum is far more accessible to the rest of the country being in the middle and not having to rely on taking a train at great expense to London (or of course you can pay about £70 to park there too and sit in traffic for two hours inside the M25 on top of your journey time each way LOL)

We go every year now it's in Birmingham, get early access and a short queue for one game then just mooch around, stroke chocobos, and catch some developer talks. I'm not for standing in those huge queues but if you're into gaming, there are worse ways to spend a day, even if you don't queue for hours.
