Hi
Thanks for posting. And welcome to HUKD.
It is good practice to also add the merchant and price to the title. It helps people who are just browsing through. And in my experience your post will get a few more “hot” votes.
Emmajk42 / Juliet_Bravo wrote a couple of very comprehensive and excellent guides for newcomers to HUKD here: - hotukdeals.com/ite…ne/

They are well worth taking a look at.
Again, thanks for posting, and welcome to HUKD.
Kind regards Andy

I use these, pretty handy. Do most of the cut myself and wife trims the edges for me afterwards.

I actually bought these some time ago when they were reduced in a Boots event....i returned them a week later ( said they were faulty) as i wanted total shaved head found the cut was not as close as stated on the packet....also the guard itself i thought rather flimsy plastic....but ok if you go for a longer style im sure but if you want proper short then go for proper clippers with no or removable hard guards.

After years of cheaper clippers, with less than quick or perfect results, I went for a PROPER set! Look at Wahl proper PROFESSIONAL models for not that much more, and you will be amazed at how much better they work than any of the domestic ones!
My Wahl Super Taper clippers were about 37 quid delivered.

The Wahl clippers are mainly not cordless and as these are designed for DIY use. I haven't used these but will be considering it as i have the same length all over and will cut it myself!

I shouldve put in ....if you have a Watt Brothers store nearby check there...i got the Nickly clarke wet and dry cordelss clippers...all the guards scissors and comb for a FIVER! ceramic blades to boot!

same price here.

I cut mine myself too, the cordless facility isn't such a big deal as you need to sit in front of a mirror for best results with ANY clipper anyway! I also cut the hair of two others who do have thicker hair. Even though I have thin hair, the domestic clippers I have had/tried are not great, well not when compared to the real deal! I put up with domestic ones for about 12 years, 2 Wahl ones, a Remington one, and one particularly usesless Remington cordless model which although a gift, went into the bin soon after!

I don't understand the good reviews on the Argos site. I've read a test of these clippers against cheaper once and the Wahl professional clippers. The test said the Philips don't cut all hair the same length and got therefore lower marks than the cheaper clippers in the test. The Wahl professional cutter came out best.

I bought these a while ago. I'm afraid they're rubbish. Save your money.

Use these around every week for an all over lowest grade and have had no problems at all. Would recommend. Normally cut my hair in the bathroom so the cordless make it excellent for that and battery goes for ages

this works great for me too and i shave my head twice a week

Agreed. Had some Whal ones before and they were hopeless

I agree with most of the comments on here they are crap. The guards are so flimsey that you end up with differing lengths unless you are on the shortest setting. I went straight back to the old Whal ones and haven't used the phillips one since.
Save your money.

we bought some of these and found them rubbish!

price is £48.99
