Great price for an MOT. Never used this company before but they seem reputable. Just checked out their reviews on trustpilot they scored 8.8 ... trustpilot.co.uk/rev….uk

Sorry but these guys take you to the cleaners when you go. A half price MOT ends up with 4 new tyres and other bits they fail you on. Pay the extra and get it done by a proper company.

Clowns, not going to bore you with my story but i will never return to these cow boys

I suppose it makes a nice seasonal variation from the 'Halfrauds' half price MOT postings ....

Halfrauds & National are one and the same now! The price is exactly the same in both places because of this (_;)

how is it half price if their normal charge if £35.00?

absolute scammers ... please dont ever take your car to these imbaciles, they will totally rip you off

For the people that like to use National for their MOT's this is obviously hot, not that I would dream of going there.

Scammers, and for public sector company vehicle drivers who do not care about cost.

tell me about it...the one in grenwich is way over the top watch these people ..

voted cold, after a seriously bad experience with this company I would avoid them like the plague.

Yup totally agree with all the comments

I normally go to the council run MOT centres ,They have got no incentive to fail your car on silly things because they dont do repairs find your nearest one council run MOT Test centres

They once told me i had "corroded brake lines" only to point to the clutch assembly. Needless to say my car was off the ramp quicker that Watchdog can wisper scammers. They blamed an "apprentice".

Don't public sector vehicle's use council run MOT centres?

I'm pretty sure some people are confusing 'National Tyres' and 'Nationwide Autocentres' which recently changed to Halfords.

I've found National to be fine and never had them specify un-needed work - but some of their quotes are shocking.

Nationwide however once insisted I needed a cambelt change and tried to convince me that I was wrong, when I pointed out that my car had a chain not a belt.

i took my car hear they quoted me £480 for front barke pads and disc, i said no chance then they start to haggle with you and ended up offering todo thm for £110, this company should be on watchdog they are con men KEEP WELL AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

there like this you go in for a supposed cheap mot then there saying you need stuff they just happen to sell. the worst in my area are kwik fit.

Don't trust National Tyres and Autocare in Kingston. I am usually a good judge of charachter. Recently took up National Tyres £27 special MOT offer. When I dropped off my car for the MOT, having spoken to the salesman, I had an uneasy feeling that it would fail. The car is hardly driven but is annually serviced and very well looked after. Before having the MOT I had taken my car to my local garage for a thorough check, though obviously and bearing in mind that the local garage doesn't have all the equipment of a test centre. The car was failed and I paid just under £200 to have a single front bush replaced. Discovered afterwards that I had probably paid double for the part and work if i shopped around. Was cheekily informed by the sales manager that they had done the tracking for FREE, even though National Tyres had fitted four new tyres themselves a week previously. Obviously if the bush is replaced the fitting should include tracking. Will in future take my car to either a Council or a decent independent MOT Test Centre. Would not trust National Tyres and have since heard other stories.
