Half Price Digital Railcards with the Black Friday deal, £15 for the one year Railcards rather than £30.

Within the app, select Trains, then the Black Friday image and click on the Railcard offer.

Make sure you go via the Black Friday image otherwise it defaults to a third off instead.

These are digital Railcards, accessible via the Trip.com app. You can purchase tickets from any station or website, but would need the Trip.com app to show the Railcard when asked.

Not a new deal,, but if you can use £10 of tesco vouchers, they are worth £30 so you can get any of the rail cards in card form.

It doesn't have the 25-30 one on the app but if I use the 16 to 25 one and buy the voucher can these vouchers be used later for the 25 to 30 one?

For students, Santander Current Account offers 4 year 16-25 railcard free.

Still showing for me. Just check you're going into the Black Friday page from either the app homepage or within the trains section, then select the Railcard offer. Don't go directly to Trains > Railcards as that will only show 34% off

Any offers for people without smartphones?   Seems a bit discriminating if there are none
    Rmcstar's avatar
No, there aren't. Most deals on railcards are digital ones

For anyone trying to find offer in app - search for "black friday offer" in search field. (edited)

App is absolutely horrendous to use but card is bargain at £15, will get that money back after my trip tomorrow. Thank you.

It is pretty bad. I took a screenshot of my card instead of going through the maze to find it.

Worked for me and seems legit as no6 in the App Store’s travel apps. Just trying to move the railcard to my wallet (and failing).
Much better BF deal than Trainline.

If you want to access your railcard, just go to Trains - My Railcards in App and it will be there

Nice find op. £15, saved me £15 from buying it at full price. And with the upcoming trip for the partner for Christmas, it's going to save me around £60. Compared to a full price return.

Indeed you can buy Railcard discounted tickets from any station, app or website, but you will need the Trip app to show your railcard when needed

There is no Black Friday image to click on only 34% off
    callumshell1's avatar
Search in the app for "black friday", it's in there.
  17. StudentGrant's avatar
China-centric app. Requires verification code that didn't appear on welcome email or subsequently. For me app constantly rains ads and black Friday offers nowhere to be seen. Glad I used a disposable email address. Uninstalled

Thanks OP, managed to screenshot it.. now the railcard is forever lost in this busy app

I just managed to get 50% off.
Anyone know how to add it to the Trainline app rather than using the Trip one, or can’t that be done?
    betabelf's avatar
I have same question as this is only adding the card on Trip.com app. Can i use with trainpal or tramline or train service website to buy train tickets
  20. Matt538's avatar
Does this card works with apple wallet?
    onlineHD's avatar
Sadly can't add to apple wallet but I just took a screen grab and that was accepted at the station.

    Thx op

Just bought and went along the nearby train station to check it defo worked. It did
Station person checked the validity and gave a 1/3rd off my ticket.
Sadly can't add to apple wallet but I just took a screen grab and that was accepted at the station.
    Hope this helps

I am really stuck. I bought this for my son on my phone and it seems to have been logged to my Apple ID. He can't sign in with my details as his phone is signing him in on his Apple ID. Any ideas how I can get the railcard to him?
    Speculator's avatar
send him a screen shot? I did a screen shot just incase the app fails to open.

Also, person above says it works. (edited)

I bought this, then bought tickets I needed for a trip, all fine. I then went back in and bought more and the payment came out of my bank, however, Trip have said they didn't receive the payment and have cancelled the tickets. The money has clearly been taken from my bank. Just double check when you make a purchase.

I dunno, I kinda think the other deal might be better. I've never heard of trip.com and it all sounds a bit finicky

I read the comments about how bad the app is and was still unprepared. It is *very*... China. If I'd be taking a trip this year I'd have done that offer instead and eaten the £1.50 booking fee or whatever it is instead.
  29. Joign123's avatar
This app is very dodgy, is this legit? Constant pop-ups and bad user experience
  30. TheBoss96's avatar
    Cannot find it?

bought one cos bargain but praying to all the god's in the pantheon i never have to actually use it. that app is something else.

I was informed by the train station that I can't validate a railcard bought online if it is a 16-25 card for a mature student. They said that one should online by at the station. Does anyone have experience with this?

Update: the Trip.com app doesn't let me buy the card if I am not within the age of 16-25. (edited)
