At 19cm, it's very thin for a mattress especially one that's been marketed as 'luxury'. I'd personally spend a bit more for something like a mattress as a crap one can honestly mess up your back long term, as mine did (which coincidentally was a Silentnight Miracoil 7).

I fail to understand the labour aspect of the guarantee, does it purhaps imply these mattresses are serviceable?

I have liked your comment as agree with it but some people cannot afford to spend more and for them this is quite luxurious.
But i hear you about the miracoil bad back comment. I had back pain while sleeping on a silentnight. Replaced with a Brooke and Wilde last year and no nore night time back problems. I am a side sleeper.

I wouldn't worry as the guarantee on this is pretty useless after the first year. You have to contribute a portion of the RRP cost of replacing it. 2nd year you pay 40% of RRP to replace, 3rd year 60% and 4 and 5 years 80%. Your buying it at 50% RRP so pointless guarantee on this occasion.
I bought a silent night mattress about 6 months ago and have had nothing but backache. Spent nearly £400 so a complete waste of money.

This maybe ok for a kid or a small adult but for a larger adult no chance.

Its a scam... they charge you per year of usage to replace it. I spent £1000 on a double pillow top one and its seems started ripping i sent pictures to them via email as requested and it took weeks to get any reply... they finally offered to replace mine with a much lower tiered mattress and wanted £400!! The mattress is only just over 2 year old. You dont even get the same mattress!!!
Ikea mattress £150 (King), Which? Best Buy. Cheaper and better.

Don’t buy silentnight! Luckily Costco were exceptional and collected and refunded FULLY after 2years (I just had to rejoin online for £15!) - silentnight were useless and just said “it’s up to Costco” even though Costco straight away said its faulty (just from 5 photos!) - phew, lucky!

I have chronic back pain, and am also a side sleeper. I've checked out the Brooke & Wild site, but have no idea which mattress to choose. May I ask which mattress you chose, and why -
Cheers.
firm which is medium firm by normal standarda. Make sure you choose the free white glove delivery service and make sure they set up the mattress for you and take old one away.
Looked on website and feee ipad offer. If you want one fine but nornally they have a sale of about third off so may be worth waiting for that next week.

They can afford it, they just haven't got their priorities right.
