Tempted by this, my other halfs sub ends 22nd feb so could get this and delay install until after then...

wonder if we can trick quidco into tracking with it also

Open through quidco then type the required link into that open window. I've had it pay out everytime

Do you need line rental if you don't want the phone package? As in does the TV / brodband require the phone? Thanks

If I'm moving house early April can installation be delayed until then if I purchase today? Seems like a great deal for the full package.
Cheers.

So I could cancel my current contract which is in the other half's name and then get this in my name?

Not sure about that, be good if you could as line rental itself is £15.40!

Maybe worth giving them a call and seeing what they say.

Afraid the option NOT to take the line rental is not possible - I have asked on numerous occasions as no one in this house uses the landline! & if you take the broadband,& yes,the tv/broadband does need the phone.

Yes...when you buy online you will have to select a date in the next 2 weeks...order it...call them and ask to have it put on hold for the house move and you just call when you are ready

Yep done it a number of times as long as you haven't been registered with them as a paying customer in the last 12 months.

Why does anyone pay more than half price for 12m?

This should be the standard price as its alwyas available. Ive been paying 75% off for 12m.

I tried the old cancel, wait a little bit and then order in someone else's name last year. Sky recognised the address and said that they would have to phone us to confirm the sale. Mother just said I had cancelled, moved out and they put it through but she lost her quidco cash back as a result of the transaction not being wholly completed online. About £120 lost I think. Just something for those thinking of trying for cashback aswell.

Cold, as usual sky only give good offers to new customers. They always forget about their loyal customer base when it comes to good deals...

Understand your frustrations...i have the same ones :)...but the OP has posted a deal that is technically hot if you are a new customer. Its not his fault sky are greedy arseh*les so its a little unfair to vote cold

Do you have to have sky broadband? i'm 2 months into a broadband contract with Virgin (better speeds). I am looking at getting the £19 Sky movies package but it reads as though it comes with sky broadband and their additional charges. Can I opt out of sky broadband and still have movies??

can anyone help please

currently I only have a virgin dish up. was there when I bought house. will that still be ok.

also does this come with a router

also I dont have a phone line at moment. heard theres a connection charge sometimes....

yes you can just order the TV without paying the line rental. I spoke to them and they told me that if I didn't want the broadband just say that you are awaiting a line rental package of someone else when you sign up online. I have just ordered the sports package for £21 a month!

Awesome price, might look into getting this

I bought the voucher yesterday,I prefer to pay my line rental in advance however sky don't allow this!

Will be redeeming my voucher over next couple of days, didn't realise the quidco trick. Does anyone know if it would work with TCB?

Will they charge for a dish installation?

My cents worth. Been with sky for 1 year now for telephone/broadband & sky. Everything is great but sky is boring so cancelling that soon because i usually watch tv programmes etc online for free. With this deal its good but for me my connection is only 3meg when I was promised at least 5 and every night at 2-3am it switches off for an hour so i don't know if its a maintenance thing as my line and connection is perfect. Other than that great deal and WAY better than the robbing bas... BT and crap TalkTalk, been through them all and found Sky is the most stable out of all the providers.

if I cancel and sign up as a new customer in my girlfriends name is there a way to keep our landline number?

Does anyone know, would the half price apply on multiroom services too? Doesnt state anywhere,

is it really that good a deal? most people get sky half price... i have just got it half price for a year and a multi room for 2.50 a month for a year with there latest box free.

my line rental is 126 for the year and broadband 2.50 a month, you need to look at it all before you go for it.

Seems to be pot luck these day's as to whether you get half price or not. They wouldn't offer me more than 20% off so I cancelled, Phoned me a week later and offered 35% off plus the latest 2 terrrabyte box free do you think I should hold out for the 50% off.

Do Sky still charge extra to go HD and for each extra room?

Unless there's something you're really desperate to watch, I'd hold out. We have been getting 50% for years now, they always give in eventually. Worst case you can just use one of these offers and resub under someone else's name (assuming you have another adult in the household).

And to be honest, they'd have to give us the offer, as otherwise its just not worth it at full price. We watch a few movies/week, a couple of footy games/month and a few other exclusive SKY programming. At £30ish/month with the convenience of SKY+ its probably worth it for us. At £60+ I could live with freeview, renting some BDs and popping down to the pub/mates to watch any games of interest.

Thought Virgin was cable rather than dish?

Not sure if this has changed recently, but you certainly used to be able to pay upfront (I did at the end of last year, you have to phone up to do it once your order has gone through) though some agents don't know about this option. If you post a message on sky help forum they should be able to help.

j I agree with you

Freezing Sky are just ripping the British public off, they seem to think that they are indispensable.
How wrong could they be it seems like everyone I know is ditching sky because they are fed up with the over priced crap that they provide.
This supposed half price deal is on billboards all over,
Basically stuff their existing customers...!!!
My sky goes bye bye today so I will save almost £1000 a year.
I have bought a Humax freesat+ box which works just like a sky+ box! but with over 195 FREE channels and no monthly cost.
Oh and Sky broadband is just a slow joke.

You can get £120 through top cash back through this offer too.

Virgin dish, Virgin is cabled !! if you have a sky dish up that should be ok ? unless I've missed a joke because someone has liked your post !

i am not sure if it will work for you however call to cancel citing the reason as too expensive and paying for phone line i dont use. Tell the cancellation person to check how you haven't used your landline for any calls. A friend and I have done this and been offered some ridiculous price reductions i.e. free sky sports hd and tv, phone, net for 20.
