Got these last week - pretty good stuff (as good as the innocent which is 3 times the price). My nearest Sainsburys wants 99p for these though- not 95p - but for a 1 Litre smoothie thats excellent!

Hi All,
They are better than drinking "pop" but they are still "pasteurized" which basically means that they are "cooked" which removes a lot of the goodness. Make your own! Much cheaper in the long run,and you know exactly what's going in them

Plus there is more sugar in a smoothie than in a can of Coke. Much quicker way to cause acid erosion on your teeth. Of course it's just fruit, but you don't normally eat that much fruit in one go!

I loath the sainsurys own smoothie - I bought it last time this offer was on (I usually buy innocent or PJ) and found that a three flavours I purchased tasted plastic-y. Like the container they were in. Odd and very unplesant but maybe others don't notice it or I was unlucky and it *is* a good price.

And Eastleigh, Southampton

I got some earlier, but only coz they were cheap, to say they're as nice as innocent ones is insane

Wow! This is a hot hot hot deal!!! I don't live in Manchester, but I might take my wife and children on a day trip to buy some of these goodies!! YUMMY YUMMY FOR MY TUMMY!

Paid 99p for one the other day. It's ok but not a patch on Innocent.

Innocent Smoothies are reduced to £2 in Tescos at the moment. Usually over £3.
Very tasty.

As someone already said......you're better off, buying a load of fruit and making your own, then you know its fresh and exactly whats in it:thumbsup:

I bought some innocent smoothies recently, and the mango and passion fruit one is really runny, before it used to be really thick, like milkshake. Really disappointed with it. Anyone notice this or is it just me?

Making your own certainly isn't close to being cheaper at all, 99p is a bargain considering how much you need to mush to get that amount.

can we have some stats to back this claim up please?

last time i looked coke was verging on TEN teaspoons and a even the worst made smoothies were tipping the scales at 8

also there are big differences between Fructose (Natural Fruit Sugar) and Sucrose (Cane and beet sugar) and the effects it has on the body.

Either way if you use a straw to drink either you will by pass the teeth, so just do that!

Blimey, i have not been a member of this site for long, but its like daniel in the lions den!! the poor poster was just mentioning that the smoothies were on offer, i'm sure that there intention was not to open a debate on the relative merits and demerits of the nutritional contents of the deal!! If this is the case, why are people so pleased when someone posts an offer on quality streets!!

Please give people a break, surely the idea is just to flag up bargains, not go into the composition of each deal!

Thanks to the original poster for flagging this up.

I like a good healthy debate though and am interested by the comments made so far.
Its not a slagging-off fest (yet), just helping people decide if they like it or not.

Thanks to the OP though.

Thanks, they ae not as nice as the innocent ones, but for that price worth it. Heat added

Not as nice as Innocent due to the ascorbic acid they add rather than it just be pure fruit. Ah well, you get what you pay for
