Fair comment - didn’t look at the Aldi link.
Some of the Aldi ones leave your hands sticky after rinsing. They must have loads of 'conditioner' glop.
'Antibacterial' handwash are as effective as those non-actibacterial ones. the foam wash them off your hands.

What ever happened to bars of soap

They still exist, don't worry
Put one everywhere

Antibac Soap and normal Soap washes away the sebum on which the virus sits so your comment is accurate in one sense but it is misleading in another, a little like saying 'sausage rolls don't work on a virus'.......
And people still cough into their hands then pull on a door handle, order food at McDonalds self order screens etc. I once saw a woman cough repeatedly into her hands in Home Bargains then lift a bottle of beer up by the top of it's neck - where you put your mouth to drink from - look at the label and put it down, cough some more, move onto the next bottle. Exactly the same over and over. I actually thought she might be doing it on purpose. Is anybody really that brain dead?

Yeh, an expert today said that the government is pretty limited as to what it can do and that the responsibility rests with the general public and basic hygiene.

After what I have witnessed today on my day out to three different supermarkets and observing people - We'd be doomed!

Not voted either way but this is really cold

Washing properly with good old fashioned soap and water is actually recommended above anti- bacteria handwash for use in the food service sectors and after a trip to the loo
4 bars for about £1
Each bar will outlive the handwash

Yes anti- bac kills bacteria but soap removes it better under fingernails etc.
Soap is particularly good on proteins from food.

All good if you can find either. Heard on local social media forum, that someone had done the rounds searching and came up with zilch.

you don't rinse it off.
Soap is better.
No use against the corona virus because of its antibacterial properties, not anti-virals...

Although the soap part may come in handy.
Antibac hanwash for a virus.... :/

You'll be standing around like a lemon for a very long time if you don't.
I have bars of dove soap that we don't use anymore, I get handwash now any ideas if we could do something to make it liquid and use it in the handwash.

Antibacterial handwash won’t combat a virus - an alcohol based wash will do you better
This won't save you from Covid-19, you need a hand gel with at least 65% ethanol.
PSA for non-science folks: Wonder why everyone is emphasizing hand washing? Sounds banal, but soap really IS an amazing weapon that we all have in our homes. This is because coronavirus is an “enveloped” virus, which means that it has an outer lipid membrane layer.

Basically, it’s surrounded by a fat layer. Washing your hands with soap and water has the ability to “dissolve” this greasy fatty layer and kill the virus. I’m told singing “Happy Birthday” twice is approximately how long we should all be scrubbing our hands with soap.

Plus, just imagine how much we will all laugh by singing happy birthday in the loo while we kill this bug!

I wonder how much this virus has actually changed the habits of a nation when it comes to washing your hands.
I knew HUKD would have us covid against this virus

Don't worry, from what I've observed at work at least half the male staff still don't bother
banjomike03/03/2020 08:00

This is handwash not an alcohol sanitizer.

I thought they were talking about Aldi's Hand Santisiers they sell at the checkouts. lol my bad.
Great deal anyone know about anti bacterial screen wipes for mobile phones ?
Buy bars of soap, less plastic
+1 for soap, just as good
Antibacterial works on virus? Shouldn't we buy Norton antivirus hand-wash or something?
