bought this last week. Doesn't look very nice when cooked in the oven white goo oozes out of it. May be nicer cooked in other ways

Cheaper in ASDA.

800g for £5

if this is the frozen ones, they dont look good when you look at them, very thin and lots of skin, certainly not like the ones on the package

Regardless of fussy comments above these are good - wild salmon so much firmer than the farmed stuff (which may look better but isn't). However, this is one of those ongoing reductions at Tesco - it's at 'full' price just often enough to keep them out of court, like the king prawns!

Jimmy: Do you like fishsticks?
Cartman: Yeah.

Have you ever tried fresh salmon, from a fishmongers? I'm going to guess no becasue if you had you wouldn't be saying this stuff is good. It's really, really, not. and it's not any cheaper.

As ISJ66 said - cheaper at Asda.

Who'd pay £10 anyway?

Most 'fresh' salmon is farmed, so above comments still apply. I'm not knocking it, just pointing out this is wild salmon, which is almost a different fish!

Just ate this my girlfriend and I had same opinion. Awful. Worst fish i have eaten; rubbery (for salmon??) virtually no taste. Would never buy this again.Try some gurnard available at fish markets and Morrison good fish counter occasionally. Very cheapa nd wonderful taste . I have been eating this for years and Rick Stein recently said why eat farmed sea bass when you can eat this, Also another great fish that is cheap is megrim sole.
