sorted byTry off-brand interdental brushes, I find them comparable to TePe at much cheaper prices especially on offer, and you can use one for a few days if you keep it clean in soapy water/ isopropyl (edited)
But Normal floss can't clear the gum line in front or behind a tooth
Imagine your front incisors
How do you clean under the gunline of your incisors without a water floss? You can't

Im in the former category. Always found it difficult to floss using tape and harps i struggled getting to the back teeth (probably terrible technique). I do love my water flosser. Dont dread flossing now.
Also these water floss actually serve a different purpose. The tape is for in-between your teeth. The water floss does that too but not as good. What the water floss does that the tape doesn't is get underneath your gum line and wash away any food particles that are under your gum lines
Ideally people should do the water floss and the tape floss. For most people the tape floss will only be needed if your teeth are very close together. For me I use the water floss which is fine for almost all the teeth but a couple of teeth are very close together so for those I use the satin tape but the teeth with more of a gap or less dense the water is sufficient
Overall these are great devises I'd highly recommend everyone get one
