This is my first post but thought it was a good deal I went in to my local Homebase to buy a wheel barrow there basic ones have been discontinued from 19.99 to 9.99 when looking at prices for basic wheelbarrows else where they are more like £25.00++ . There was alot of discontinued stuff through out the store so might be worth a look if your near by.

thats a good deal. I bought b&qs basic one just before xmas for £24.99

I bought one of these last year to move snow from my drive into the field at the bottom of the street rather than have it pile up in the garden, great price.

With a amount of crap in my garden , i better buy 2

Good deal but I wouldn't use it very often so would rather just barrow my neighbours.

Be careful removing snow,,as removed from rear garden paving which with subsequent light snow falls and defrost caused ice heave on the paving and had to reset them.
I think? if left snow it would have insulated and stopped this occuring?

Was this on an orange sticker, or a proper 'special offer' type promotion? It's a great price, but if it's just an orange sticker then it'll probably just be a random thing that you'll be lucky to find in another store whereas if it's a proper offer then it'll be nationwide. Homebase orange sticker prices are ace!!

That depends on usage mate.

:-) worked in Homebase for 18 years, if its kept out of the rain & only used for light stuff then it might be ok. We used to mark down the price of grubby, dirty, rusty wheelbarrows after they had been lying around for a while with the orange stickers to get fresh new stock in. Printing labels generally only reduces the item by about 10% off but can be altered to any price by the person printing the labels.

Will this suffice for the mrs valentines day present?

I think you would probably end up inside it if you were to do that mate lol

Might not be discon if the price is £9.99. If the price ends in 3p, such as £9.93, that's an indication that it's pending discontinuation. Same goes for 83p, 73p, etc. But very good price for what usually cost twice as much.

Quite a few new layout changes happening in Homebase, so look out for clearance lines, Lawnmowers, Lawn feed / weed and "Grow Your Own" items.

Not nationwide, I was in the Bedford, Riverfield Drive branch today and they don't stock the cheapie one at all.
