£8 With Trade Card

I wouldnt go for these as you need flat ground to use them. The 3 tonne ratcheting set with separate legs in Halfords go for between 12 and 20 quid when on offer.

To get a trade card you basically need to prove you either work in the motor industry (e.g. a mechanic for a garage) or you have a college qualification of some kind saying you are a mechanic.

No idea now now if it’s stricter or less strict than it used to be. I got mine about 8 years ago and my only qualification was being an active member of a car owners club. One branch told me to get lost basically but the other were a bit more helpful and hooked me up.

I have the ratchet ones and they are 4 feet design , and as anyone with a table knows, 4 feet wobble unless the surface is flat, while 3 feet are stable on uneven surfaces.

I also have these yellow ones and keep one in the car in case of a flat. It is a good price st £13 and a steal at £8.
