Why didn't you post it then? Personally I've got some but if I spot a deal I will post it. I thought thats the whole purpose of the group. Even if I don't need the item I will post it if I think it's a deal others might not know & want it. Even though all the aggro I get

You lucky boy! I'm jealous
Garbage , they lift cars about 3” then fall to bit. Don’t bother with this. I’ve got one and used it maybe 6 times in around a year till the supporting arms to the lifting head snapped off. Should lift 2 ton but broke lifting a 1.2t golf.

Nah lol , I bought the £50 kit with trolly , chocks and axel stands. The jack wouldn’t lift the car up high enough to put supplied axel stands in place. The jack had to be put on slabs to achieve the requires lift

I thought they were useless too as it wouldn't lift the car, but then I told the mother in law to get out and hey presto, result !!

Agree .I've found Halfords after service very good so if item broke after 5 months take it back .I would also check it will fit under front of car as a lot of modern cars have limited front clearance for a front lift.

Just think about this. He claims this happened and does nothing. If it would have happened to me I would be on to citizens advice(to protect other users) and have that product recalled. Halfords have sold thousands of these and a non verified comment on hotdeals UK that this happened. Okay

There may exceptions but jacking points are usually on the side of a car - this is a car with monocoque construction jacking elsewhere could cause damage. If you have a car with a chassis then please disregard.

Faulty then as I've been using mine for years with no issues.
Yes mine has jacking point on sides ,1 front ,1rear but normal trolley jack won't fit under front side and definitely not if you want to lift say under wishbone .Bmw m sport and a lot of new cars have similar side skirts so maybe the link to low slung jack more suitable to modern sport cars.Definately worth checking

He's right, they're awful. The handle opens up so you can't lower the jack with it, the wheels get stuck and don't move freely when you're jacking up the car and the ram seal started passing after 6 months. Just slowly comes down over the course of 15 minutes once it's jacked up. They're cheap for a reason.

Not everyone will take items back after a few months, they'll just stop using it and buy a better one, putting the cheaper one down to a bad experience, it doesn't make them wrong.

Any particular reason you would keep a car up on a trolley jack for 15 minutes instead of onto some axle stands?

Why bother? The old saying buy cheap, buy twice is very true. Cut my losses and bought a proper mechanics 3 ton one from Costco.

I always use both. Put axle stands and then the jack on
