£5 cheaper with a Trade Card. Not a great trade discount.
Quality tools.
Have they changed the supplier of their tools recently? Last time I was in looking for some bent nosed pliers they had replaced loads with "Laser" branded ones which were more expensive and looked like they'd break if you squeezed them.

Considering getting because mine have seen better days but not if I'm going to be going to Halfords like a yo-yo to get bits replaced.
suggest you go for the 200 pieces set. 170 set just missed some specs you might need. and the 200 one costed me £120 last or the one before last Xmas.

Also these are lifetime guaranteed tools. Just bring the broken ones to the store and they will replace new(or newish?) ones for you with no problem.

The halfords branded tools are the same as they've ever been.
They do stock laser, and have done for some time - they are pretty nasty, and about as cheap as tools get.

Why? Halfords tool sets are like dfs sales. Almost Always on offer
I wish they did just a metric set with 200 pieces, I'd never use AF sockets these days . Unless you're into old cars they aren't much use, just makes the set take up more room.

I bought a set of non impact 3/8 deep laser sockets around 25 years ago. Never managed to break one despite spinning them up on a snap on air ratchet. Lost a few over the years and replaced them with snap on as and when. TBH if I was starting out again I wouldn't bother with snap on I'd go for draper expert, bahco or maybe halfords Pro range.

Not snapped mine yet and had a m long scaffold bar on the end. I snapped the wheel nut though
