Saw this last week, bought the 2T one instead for £24. Great tool to jack up the car in minutes, I tried to use the winding jack that came with the car (Corolla Verso), took me 30 mins and a sore wrist :(.

but what about the car

Probably a good jack for the price - but be warned - most of the 4x4 jacks struggle to fit under lower clearance cars, and the newest Land Rovers and Range Rovers are either near to or above 2250kg. It's normally quite hard work using a jack when it's near to it's limit!

Or, Lidl had one recently £20 cheaper

I found a good set of 6 Ton axle stands on Amazon yesterday..

I wouldn't class 2.25 Tons as a 4x4 jack, as no where near the weight of a Toyota Land Cruiser.

Shambolic

Doesnt need to be weight of the car, youre only really going to jack up half the weight. Unless you plan to jack it up from the centre (dont try it!)

Bought one but got a feeling this will not even come close to the costco one. May have made the wrong choice.

I've seen the Costco one, cracking jack, but I think it was about £80.

That's Cracking Jack, NOT Cracker Jack!

lol yes it is an a-mazing jack indeed.
This one .... not so sure. But for £80 (which is its real RRP) it shouldnt be completely ****

I've had this jack for about a year - it's good enough for the DIY home mechanic and can lift higher than a lot of cheaper versions.

The speed-lift feature is also nice - you don't stand there pumping for 15 seconds trying to get the jack seated.

This is actually really good - goes as low as the 2T version which is around 15cm I think... really good bit of kit, much better made than some of the rubbish that Machine Mart sell. Also remember that you are not lifting the whole vehicle weight so 2.25T is loads really, If you have a massive 4x4 then buy the 3T version.

Think I bought mine with the trade card for £37 so this is slightly cheaper! Also remember that Halfords do cashback via Quidco on your registered card - 4% I think

Cheers Supercharged - I've edited the deal detail and given you a hat tip.

Cheers, should make it clear it's 4.5% in store but you need to register your card...
