I bought this set for my son along with his new bike.

We couldn't get the pump to work, and the light fitting clamps did not fit on the new bike. So it's a lot of money just for a lock.

There's a lot of anti-Halfords input on HUKD. I prefer to make my own mind up. Today I tried to take back a Christmas present I'd bought someone but it had proved unsuitable (dangerous - interfered with brakes). Delayed a few days by the weather too.

Shop management refused refund as past their 28 day limit (I did shop ahead of Christmas). Had to call 'Customer Service' and quote Sale of Goods act (unfit for purpose) to get some action.

They could have accepted in the first place and sent me away with a warm feeling about Halfords. Instead I feel I won a fight with them and they won't get my business as easily in future. Local shop management clearly not trusted/empowered by head office either.

I got a pump like this from Poundland which is still going strong, and then a better one from Amazon for less than £5 delivered. These sort of lights can be had for a couple of pounds from numerous online vendors (or even poundland, I think). And I would invest in a better lock than that - even if it is just a cable lock. Many decent ones are available on Amazon. Or other cheapies are available - even poundland.. All in, better value can be had for £15, or similar for £3.
