This won't be for everyone but if you team up this can work out a good deal.

I know not everyone likes these DIY top up kits but those who have used these know they are better than the cheap aerosols.

Each can will do three top up's so three cans is too much for one person.

Halfords have all Air conditioning products on 3 for 2 these top up cans are £34.99 each so currently £69.98 instead of £104,97.

Each can has a £10 deposit which means once used you *should* get £30 back (as one was free will you get £20 0r £30 back?).

Three A/C top ups for £13.33 or 16.66 if they wont give all three deposits back.

Dont forget you will need the trigger (£19.99) or you cant dispense the gas from the bottle to the car!!!

the bundle deal is good. £42.99 includes the trigger, gas bottle, comma air con cleaner spray.

return the comma spray for 7.70 refund
return empty bottle for 10 refund
Total cost after returning above: £25.29

As you said, if its just a "top up" a bottle will do more than one car. A completely empty system however may require a full bottle.

then you have trigger gun for next time or ebay it (seen them sell for £10 + £2 post)

bundle deal appears on the bottom right when you view the ez chill gas

does anyone know when this offer ends

I never knew you were allowed to mess around with the gas in your air con yourself?!
Saying that, can't you get a complete system refill done at ATS etc for about the same money?

Yeah, I guess with this though you can do 3 cars, or 3 refills.

No you can't, the three bottles will give you 9 refills for the same cost as one ATS topup or share with two family/mates and pay £13.33 each for one bottle (three refills).

The cheapest on Ebay is £40 a bottle so you could sell 2 for £80, be £20 up (not £40 as you now have two less deposits to claim) and keep the third bottle (3 topups) for yourself.

I think you will find the price does not include the deposit on the cylinders.
The £10 deposit per can is in top of the purchase price. So three cans would cost £99.98 with the deposits ( £69.98 plus £30 deposit ).
Just checked on live chat and they confirmed that the deposit is charged on top of the purchase price.

No it's not, I bought these yesterday and quoted the prices I paid.
Maybe the 3 for 2 is stopping the deposit kicking in if you're right, so makes it even better. There was no issue, she just scanned the cylinders and billed me

Also confirm i paid £42.99 reserved and collect for the bundle kit. No extra deposit for bottle. Got reciept in car if it needs to be seen?

The reason I bought this was my car needs a top up each year, the last three years has cost me £120 in Kwik-Fit, they never find a leak (it must me too small) but I'm fed up forking out each year.

Now For not much more (will have to wait for the deposits back) I got 9 refills which will last me years and I can do a 5min topup whenever I feel like it instead of driving to the garage and waiting for their machine that takes 1 1/2 hours to complete.

Like I said not for everyone but good for me and I can top up all family and friends when I like now with all this gas.

All air conditioning systems have natural leakage due to the O rings etc. Also the machines they use only test upto a certain pressure, but the actual system can operate higher pressures, so you might have a high pressure leak which isnt detected by the machine.

My car was gassed eariler in summer, 3 weeks later, no air con......got it leak tested, rechecked on machine and regassed. 3 weeks later, no air con. Luckily they put dye in the 2nd time, so I was able to locate a leak on the drier unit behind the bumper. On saturday gone, I replaced 2 o ring seals and the drier unit (non gen drier and 2 genuine honda o rings) for around £20.

I bought the bundle kit I mention above to regas myself. Started gassing it up, eventually compressor engaged when gas triggered the pressure switch and kept doing 3 second squirts and checking the pressure and vent temperate.

Air con systems require checking and gassing every few years, some say 2 years others say 3 years. If you are having to top up more regularly, you may indeed have a leak which is hard to detect. Some compressors have a join on the unit and small leakage can seep from there, but its mainly damage to the condenser radiator or the O rings / seals which leak.

Bundle deal.....items individually priced so able to return the comma cleaner for refund. Also no extra price on bottle, so £10 refund when returned also.
