Not the cheapest it has ever been but if going for cam + a memory card and a case you save about 20£

Nice bit of kit only downside is night vision isn't as good as other premium models ( Nextbase 512 & 612 ) and it lacks parking mode, which allows you to leave the dash-cam recording while you have parked the vehicle.
You may also get a dashcam reduced if Halfords have ex-demonstration models. Halfords also do wired installs for the dash-cams for a reasonable £30.

I'm pretty sure I've seen the menu option on The 312GW for parking mode? Yeah the night visions not as good as the more expensive models but for a midrange model its definetly clear enough.
I'd recommend the hardwire install as well because now I can't use the cigarette socket to charge my phone (temporary car so not worth it for me).
However it was cheaper direct from next base about a month ago as they had 30% off everything so I got this and a 32GB card and cover for £80.49.

Damn, I wish I had pulled trigger back then, I was holding off for black Friday - not many deals around though

Just to confirm I did originally check the specs for the dashcam range on Nextbases own website, the 312GW does have G-shock, day/night recording but not parking mode. For those who would require this feature it can be a drain on the car battery something to consider at this time of year, nothing worse than a dead battery!

I see Amazon is also listing the 402G for £84.95. Any thoughts on that?

to be honest i dont know much about dashcam i recently watched gadget show and the garmin 45 was voted the best out the 3 they tried and garmin make the 55 model which is superior 4k camera and it was between that and the nextbase512gw and went for the garmin 55 , now waiting for delivery ,slighty worried about this choice because there so many bad reviws the camera overheating but same time so many brilliant reviws from other websites

The next base 402g did have issues with its internal battery a number of punters complained the had the same issue with replacement 402gs. Looking at the Nextbase website it appears to be no longer available from them direct. I would say your probably better off with spending a little more and getting the above deal on the 312 . The specs are similar and as the 312 is newer I would say probably edges it if I was to make a purchase.

Ive been looking at this one for a while waiting for a good deal. The key thing to me was that it does have a parking mode - but are we talking about the same thing? What I read was that this one has an internal battery and, if a g-shock event occurs, it will record something like 30 seconds of video. No need for a permanent connection. It won’t continuously monitor at low frame rate for instance, but will pick up knocks.

However, this deal sucks. A far-too-small SD card, a case I’d never use (as I intend leaving it in the car specifically for parking monitoring) and a polarising lens (best bit of the deal but not worth the alleged previous £49 premium for the ‘bundle’). Shame the bundle couldn’t have been a hardwire kit. That would’ve made it worthwhile.

I stand corrected what is confusing is on the Nextbase website its not listed as a feature with the 312GW yet checking reviews I came across this one:
cardashcamreviews.com/nex…ew/
If I were you I would check your local Halfords store and see if they have an ex-demonstration model available ( varies according to local stock ) I managed to pick up a Nextbase 512gw cheaper because it was a display model in-store and I purchased a separate 32gb class 10 micro sd card cheaper on-line than the Halfords option.
