I bet these are as good as their batteries

Although these are good Aldi has them but better priced and a whole lot more for the money.

Aldi you get about 20 assorted 10 torx and 10 Allen long reach T handle in a carry case. I've used them plenty of times and they are up to the job more than eBay crud at the same price. I believe the Aldi ones were less than a tenner (£9.99 or summat ).

Just to add , ratchet spanners are also in the sale at £3 from £15 or so.

I have the Aldi ones - the T handle turns on the shaft, not good.

Whereas I've always found Halfords Pro range to be excellent quality.

The are great quality and guaranteed - you just will not find a comparable tool in any German hard discounter - that's a fact. They are also an absolute necessity to work on just about any modern car. Heat

You've got to laugh. Comparing Halfords Pro tools to the junk in Aldi is like comparing a Bentley to a clown's car.

I'm sure there are people on this site that will buy anything if it's discounted by 80% and eligible for Quidco.

Great Screwdrivers and all you need to do it take them back for an exchange if they let you down. Heat added

Only with the original receipt!

It cheaper to buy some of the sets, some are 14.99 or on the 3 for 30 pounds.... Have a good look.

I took a spanner back to them without a receipt and they replaced it without proof

Thanks. Went for the set for £15.

If only I had 1 penny for every time this was said on a screwdriver thread I'd be a millionaire!

Halford Pro Scredriver Set - £15

That link is for a set of normal pro screwdrivers, this deal is for Torx/ Star Pro screwdrivers

The 'advanced professional' are the best tools from halfords, they are pro quality, 'professional' not so much!
'Professional' are more like the better tools from aldi / lidl.

I'd only buy the 'advanced professional' tools from halfords.

You paid over the odds, that set is usually around £10.

... and every time you've seen it before, it was probably him then as well!

He does only have a handful of stock responses

Anything chemical/cleaning product related = "Nice mixer with gin"
Anything cycling related = "I blame Wiggle"

I have made this point before but could HUKD have a tw*t button?

I realise they're a whole 50p per driver more expensive (at Amazon, I haven't looked elsewhere) but I'd be inclined to go for the Wera Torx set. I always find it's better to have a set, and the hex collar means they don't roll away!

I'm fairly sure the whole 'Advanced Professional' thing was just a re-branding to denote tools manufactured after they changed the warranty terms to require the receipt. They're good tools, no doubt about it, but I don't think they're any different to the 'Professional' ones.

Many thanks, just picked up four ordered yesterday and have a fifth still to collect from another store. Although they are no longer online (selected ratchet spanners offer at £3 each) there was still a small amount left in one of my local stores marked at £3. So if you want some try instore.
