Halfords Professional Tool Chest/Roll Cabinet bundle, mega price!! - £229 @ Halfords

Excellent price for the full tool chest bundle.

These RRP at £450 for the lot I think so this is a steal.

I have two of these side by side and they are excellent in quality and storage, think I paid a bit more than this deal and got mine in separate deals so to get them all for this price is great.

Perfect Xmas pressie for any DIY dads/husbands out there!

Paid a little more for mine a while back, well worth it at this price, heat from me.

i dont believe the £450 rrp but it seems fairly good value for £229

If you wait you'll get the industrial stack for around this price. This is only a £20 saving on current seperate prices.

When not on offer they are genuinely £450 for all three, and there will be people that have paid that much by walking in with no offers in place.

But, they do tend to be on offer quite a lot.

Still £20 saving on the current special offer prices though, if you save £20 everyday of the week on your spending you'd end up doing OK.

Those aren't special offer prices...
I never voted, it's not a bad deal, but not a good one imho.

Great deal for all three. Voted hot.

Great find 20kg per drawer which is a good weight and still cheaper than with trader discount on them as well.

Bought mine a few years ago, good quality for the price. Only issue I have is the drawers on the top chest have to be fully closed for the top hinged lid to close and lock the drawers properly. Not much of a problem more of a faff really.

Why don't you?
The rrp is what they say it is. I know, it's hard.

I've had the tool cabinet for 5 years, and with lots of use its held up very well! At the time, the cabinet was £100 alone (ofc at one of their 'offer prices')
They're perfect for any DIY mechanic.

Do these stack or are they side by side units?

Great deal. Don't need them, but I want them. Heat.

They stack up on top of each other.

Very stable, even on the wheels (you could use them without if needs be).

Quite tall units with all 3 stacked up but superb storage.

Got these a couple of weeks ago and very pleased. Was going to get one but decided to go for all three. Wonder whether they’ll refund the price difference considering I’m still within return period. Anyone have any experience of this with Halfords?

Not to be confused with halfords industrial range

But did anyone ever pay £450 for this?

I don’t think many did

Anyone remember the price glitch on the pro range a few yrs back?

I agree, I decided not to vote either way as well (not a special price but otherwise quite good value).

But if you don’t spend anything you’ll have more than that extra £20 in you pocket!

At some point I noted a bike that showed the RRP with the small print - which described which stores and for what period it had been at this 'RRP'.
I think I worked it out as something like a 1/450 chance that you could have walked into a random Halfords store on a random day of the year and actually found the bike at it's 'RRP'. And what's the betting they didn't have any on display during that period?

Perhaps it should be 'Claimed Retail Price', or perhaps 'Claimed Retail Advertised Price'? :P

To be fair, I go into Halfords most weeks and whilst these tool chests are on offer maybe 50% of the time, the rest of the time they are priced up at RRP and there will be plenty of people that walk in off the street not knowing they are ever on offer and will just pay RRP.

If you want this particular tool cabinet and are not web savvy or a HUKD user then you might not realise they do offers on them, same with the Halfords Professional Socket sets and their own brand roof boxes.

Unlike some places (Argos and Currys), the RRP prices on these are actually charged when not on offer.

As for getting a 3 stack industrial version for similar money, I don't think I've ever seen them that low but these are fine for 90% of home DIYers/mechanics - I wouldn't be without mine now!!

Decent price to be fair - Awesome!

Just got mine £249 in store but £229 online.

Good stack!

Was going to wait for the industrial tool stack after what @Harley_Mick said but went for this instead and with Quidco you get another £13.73 off (tracking ???) even with click and collect.

I have this set... bought it about 3yrs ago and its great! Im fussy with tools etc and Im very happy with this tool box. The drawers aren't as sturdy as a high end tool box but they definitely do the job, The locking mech is a little flimsy, but it works.. Keeps everything in order and easily accesible and it does look very smart in the garage

Voted hot!

I bought the 2 x 6 drawer industrial set last year for £340. It's OK but I wasn't that impressed with it. I can't imagine the quality of this set is going to very good tbh.

I have this set (Minus the 4 drawer cab) in my garage and really impressed with it. Nice smooth operation of the drawers and as mentioned earlier, they look good too!

Tempted to go for the 4 drawer unit to stack on top of the others as I'm desperately short of drawer space...

It’s worth adding the middle drawer, but they are quite tall then so thetop cabinet is quite high up after that.

I was thinking this. Came in at around £130 IIRC? A mate bought them. Didn't have a garage at the time.
I bought them this time last year for £199.

I recall a crazy glitch that meant if you paid postage, then went in and said you’d click and collect people were walking out of the stores with £100’s of full kit for a few quid. In the end management we’re stopping it. Missed out myself.

Thanks OP, have ordered and collected tonight (£39 quoted for delivery...ouch). Managed to fit all 3 boxes in the back of my X5 relatively easily for anyone thinking of collecting one themselves.

Heat added btw

Paid £85 for these last week.

got these 3 when on offer... top 79.95, middle 50.00, bottom 129.95, so cracking deal

They also fit in a 5 door mini with one on the passenger seat - bit of a squeeze though.
