Halfords Berry good Screen Wash 5L 3 for 2 £10 instore Swindon

So i popped in to Halfords to pick up some screen wash because my car seems to drink the stuff. Advertised at the usual price of £5 for 5L. Scanned two and the chap said you do realise you get another one free?

Receipt confirms it. Not advertised anywhere in store but he said it is national and will be advertised soon.

15L of -10C Berry good quality screen wash for £10 should see me through the winter. Seemed like a decent deal worth sharing.

Yes but unlike Eurocarparts stuff, this does not freeze. First hand experience of the QX stuff, its ok for the summer but not great with the weather we have been having.

Offers now expired, but its good for -7...cant say ever had any issues with any ready mixed, but dont tend to dilute either. Not brand loyal mind...cheapest will do
They usually do these £5 bogof

I'm pretty sure that offer hasn't been on for years.

It has been in my local Halfords I bought some last year
Not online but not bad for a tenner! BOGOF hasn't come up for a while, this will be the closest deal for the future I reckon
This isn't a bad deal as this is a concentrate not ready mixed(According to the link), works out basically £3.33 for 5L, thats really not bad.

The quality is better than the 5L QX stuff. I use the QX stuff in my company car as I do around 30,000miles a year, economically makes sense to buy the QX stuff(When on offer) due to the amount I use in a year, plus the cheapest will do.

However noticeable difference to when I use Halfords and Prestone in my personal car, dilution rates are better, winter performance is better and cleans the screen really well. QX stuff on occasion streaks, doesn't dilute as well, but price/performance ratio certainly not bad, but it's cheaper for a reason.
Got this on a deal while ago caused smearing of new wiper blades really bad at night and stunk of cat urine

ahh ok my van washer stinks of sewage no worries
Sounds fruity...
Not bad stuff you can actually go get. Euro/carpartsforless does sell some stuff for around £2 per 5L but they wont post it to me and this stuff does smell good!

Weird that the QX froze for you, I used to work for them (I have no reason to big them up tbh). We used the QX screenwash in our vans (the cheapest blue stuff) and it didn't clog the piping and nor did it freeze like I thought it would honestly. Might have something to do with the fact that I didn't dilute it much if at all!

Then again I do remember seeing the solution freeze if left on the windscreen for too long in sub zero temps.

Edit: Wasn't impressed with it though. Found you needed to keep using it every few hours. Either way, wouldn't recommend.
