Halfords voodoo bikes sale, 20% with codes and quidco?

Halfords currently have roughly 10% off voodoo mountain bikes and you can get another 10% off when you reserve online if you use the code NUSMAY12. Probably quidco to but i don't use it so no idea.

You can get the hoodoo which got 5/5 in a recent bike radar review (take with a pinch of salt) for £405 down from £500.

The zobop can be had for £1000 down from £1500 decent spec.

Great deal. I ordered the Voodoo Hoodo last night for collection Saturday. Great spec for the price. I bought mine through quidco and it's tracked at £18. Quidco currently offering 4%. So this has potentially cost me less than £390 for a bike I was looking at last week for £499!
Excellent deal, I have a voodoo bokor which I bought in 2010 to replace my very old stump jumper, great bike with quality compnents on it. Only advice to anyone is give it a good check over/ proper set up as the plebs at halfords put them together very poorly, my dead Nan could do better.
Poor deal

That's like comparing a Fiesta with a Ferrari. You get what you pay for. I can't see Tesco's £70 full sus mountain bike surviving a good run on a mountain bike trail every weekend.
tesco bike are better made - why would they sell junk

pretty sure you're just having a laugh here hoping for someone entertain you with an argument

tesco bikes are crap, a £70 full suspension bike is a joke

but you already know that, failed troll is fail
Been looking for a bike for a while now.

I can get a Cube Aim Disc for a similar price. Anyone who knows more about bikes than me know which one I should choose?

Nonsense. Halfrauds are probably charging £405 for the same bike that Tesco sells for £70 anyway.

Everyone knows that Halfrauds charges over the top prices on just about everything.

****. Halfords might overcharge for certain things (even some bikes) but they also have brilliant award winning bikes that are excellent value for money. That £70 bike at tesco is nowhere near the same quality as bikes like the hoodoo.

Just ordered the Hoodoo 29er for the same price.

Thanks OP!

I am tempted by the Hoodoo 29er. With discount I have (gift tokens left over from previous return at halfords) I can get it for around £365 plus cahback.

Not picking mine up until Tuesday so cant really give you a review. It'll be my first 29er, but it'll only really be for road use.

Just been down to my local Halfords to take a look at the Voodoo range. I was suitably impressed, but sadly the 29er Hoodoo wasn't in stock.

That was my concern as well (my local doesn't have the 29er, just the normal) and I am 5ft 10 with a leg length of 33".

6'3"

From the reviews I've read the 29er is for those over the 6 foot mark. Having not even seen it in person yet though I cant comment.

I've gone for the 22.5"
I'm 6'2" so the 20.5 should be ok. Went to a local halfords and the staff were pretty clueless and didn't even know about the 29er. Think I'll take a punt.
Nice one, ordered mine today. I'm not a bike snob but was looking for something around the £500 mark that wasn't from Halfords. I was seriously considering a rockrider 8.1 but with the reviews the hoodoo gets it seems a steal at below £400. picking it up tomorrow.
Had a sit on both a 20" hoodoo (26 wheel) and an 18" and the 18" felt more comfortable despite my height and long legs. So a 20.5" frame with the added wheel size of the 29er means I'm going to go for an 18" Hoodoo (unless someone shouts Noooooooo!). My current (v old) bike is a 20" and always felt it was a bit big and unweildy).

Yeah I went down and tried a few myself but thanks for the comment, it really might of helped other people get a comfortable bike.
Was due to pick mine up today. Just called them to confirm, no record of my order!! Just tracked it online and it's showing as cancelled!

No email about it, nothing.

So I'm currently 400 down, no bike, and not particularly happy.

Was the money taken from your account and/or did you get an email when you made the order?

Got my cancellation order today. Apparently now out of stock with no date when they'll be back in stock.

I literally have a budget of £400 (give or take a little) and had my eye on a 29er. Anyone have any other recommendations?

Found this just on budget.... rutlandcycling.com/422…269

That sucks, I guess that frame size is just rare because of it's size.

Just spoken to customer services. Told them I wasn't happy etc. I've now got the 20.5" being delivered to my local store on Saturday for £404.99 even though the code has expired.

Happy with that.

You said you were originally going for the 22.5, will the 20.5 fit?

Will find out Saturday! lol!

Height chart on Halfords site suggests 6'3" = 20"+ frame, so I'd imagine it'll be fine. My current bike is a 21" and that's never been a problem.
