Think you are looking for a money transfer card - best deal in the market to balance transfer to a bank account is virgin 0% for 32 months which has a 1.69% fee

That's right.
Interesting, my application was declined, although not sure why based on earnings. Oh well, good deal for those who can get it.

Darn, so if you have the Halifax Clarity Card they'll only offer 13 months at 0%? I guess it's more of an introductory offer at 23 months.

I had a leaflet in the door from HSBC this morning and they're offering me, as an advance customer so unsure if available to everyone, 0% interest for 32 months with 1.4% fee (min £25) and £25 cashback if you use the card within 60 days. Tempted by that if I can only get 13 months with this Halifax card.

voted hot though op
Is this one of those cards were quidco / tcb only payout if you actually use / transfer a minimum amount on the card ?
Good deal. Happy New year

says in the terms on Quidco

'To receive cashback customers must use their cards within the first three months of activation'

However doesn't stipulate a minimum spend
WOowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Chanchi32 thanks you sooo much this is great my 0% was about to run out so this is great, I already had a Halifax Clarity which is to me the best credit card (£5 a month reward and no fee for foreign usage) out there so no way I was going to cancel to get this, but I applied and I can have both so great news although only got 13 months, but I am sure you can find us another deal next Xmas :-)

Alternative option(?) Halifax 0% for 38 Months Balance Transfer (2.75% Fee)

Balance Transfer offer - exclusively available online only

Credit available subject to status, to UK residents aged 18 or over. You can transfer balances to us (£100 minimum) from most credit cards and some store cards, excluding other Halifax products. All promotional rates apply from the date we open your account. You must pay at least the minimum payment by the due date each month and stay within your credit limit to keep promotional rates.

0% for up to 38 months from account opening on balance transfers made in the first 90 days.
Minimum £100 balance transfer. At least 51% of customers will get 0% on balance transfers for the first 38 months and a representative rate of 18.9% APR (variable). Others will get 0% on balance transfers for the first 38 months and a rate of 21.9% APR (variable), or 0% on balance transfers for the first 19 months and a rate of either 25.9% APR (variable) or 27.9% APR (variable).
2.75% effective fee applies on each balance transfer made in the first 90 days.
An initial 3% fee applies; we'll then refund 0.25% within 90 days, so the effective fee is 2.75%. The refund applies for balance transfers in the first 90 days from when we open your account, after which a 3% fee applies for each balance transfer.

0% for 6 months from account opening on purchases.
i appreciate your post OP. Because of you guys hukd is the place where people truly save money
Anyone know what the credit limit is likely to be?
thanks op. Heat added.

Anyone know what the credit limit is likely to be?

It will be based on your individual circumstances. It asks you what limit you would like during application. Being sensible will increase your chances of being accepted
Was declined for me unfortunately even I am a Halifax customer for more than 6 years (I believe because I have already 5 active credit cards), but great for those who could grab it, heat.
You could transfer more than your balance, giving you an interest free loan on your existing credit card
For me the credit limit was 10% of my annual earnings
Already have a Halifax CC I wonder if I could apply for another and then transfer to this card, as it would be the cheaper option for me? Would they let me do this you reckon?

Nope the balance transfer can not be within halifax or barclays group i think it said or RBS
Wow, this could be just what i'm looking for. Heat added.
i have a Tesco credit card and the 0% runs out at end of Jan.
I've never transferred a balance before so know nothing about it.
I've got just under £3000 owing on it.
Am i right in thinking if i apply for this deal and get accepted that i can just transfer the whole balance to the new card and it won't cost me anything?
And i'll have 23 months at 0% to pay it off?
Also, is it straight forward to do a balance transfer?
Any tips greatly appreciated.

The application asks you what credit limit you want. In my case I asked for £5 and got accepted with a credit limit of £1900. However, when I checked the T&C's the balance transfer fee is 0.8% in the first 90 days. SO not everyone will get the 0% fee
Great deal, just applied, balance transferred......

Thanks
Was accepted but email says my transfer period is 13 months - not 23 months??

That's what you want! Best to have no credit card debt. For most people they transfer at 0% but don't take the chance to clear their debt. That's the whole reason the card providers come up with these offers! Personally I pay with debit card or cash. Avoid debt altogether.

Pretty sure you won't get a £3000 credit limit when you're first accepted.
Also you have to make the minimum payments each month to keep the 0% interest rate.
This is good deal just Done 38mths halifax and on quidco with 20 pounds got offered 10k limit lets get spending lol

They've got a 23 month 0% purchase card on at the moment (well they did a few days ago) which you'd have been better off with. Maybe if you call they'll switch your deal?
