It's pretty good - there's a good twist to it. Still absolutely LOVE the original! Heat added.
Preordered this back in May, just waiting for it to arrive a payment has just been taken. Already own the blu-ray but couldn't resist getting this in 4K and in a nice steelbook too.
Always been a fan of the franchise, mainly the 1st and 2nd plus the Rob Zombie versions.......but although this film is entertaining enough it failed to live up to my expectations and felt as though it was rushed and unfinished!
Not seen yet but hoping it's at least slightly scary as not seen a good horror film for ages.

In fact the last decent scare I think was Event Horizon, although more creepy than scary.

I was bitterly disappointed. Especially with the ending.

I agree, seemed to lack suspense and the sense of menace that was always present in the earlier films. The background music helped add intensity and fear in those old films and I didn't even notice it in this new film...?

Run of the mill horror with no scares at all. Kills are pretty mundane. Best bit is right before the opening credits and the music kicks in for the title. After that it rapidly went downhill.
Crap film but it's a good price for a nice steelbook, so heat added.
Link doesn't work anymore sadly, looks like they've removed it. Shame I really enjoyed it, first film in ages I went to the cinema twice to see it.
Hated it (despite wanting to love it).... I'm a massive fan of the first movie, but this is just dull. No menace, no creepy atmosphere or unsettling set pieces, just a buy-the-numbers slasher. The "twist" in the final third, is ridiculous.
My copy came today. Very pleased, great looking steelbook.
