Just saw this in-store at Gamestation - £12.49 new.

It was on the same shelves as the £4.99 Beowulf and £19.99 PES 2009 advertised elsewhere on these forums.

you must get Gamestation vouchers when u trade-in games for store credit.

It was £12.99 used (or 2 for £20) when I was in there yesterday. Will have a look tomorrow.

Got this and GTA iv in Blockbuster only £18 for two (Pre-owned though). Played Halo 3 for about 10 mins and traded it in in CEX for £10 credit. (Gta iv aint all that either, can get £16 credit for it in CEX, have played it for a few hours though)

You get a credit note for trade-in's but yeah they do gift vouchers too.

Should a new copy be sealed? Or more importantly contain a 48HR Live code?
Mine was/had neither but I stupidly let them pop it in a bag before I got a look at it.:oops::oops:

all new games should be sealed.

They should be, and I don't settle for less - but I went to buy four new games from HMV yesterday and they tried selling me all unsealed versions. The disc and manual were in a 'sealed' plastic holder which they told me was the same thing - not to me, and I took my money elsewhere (although funnily enough to another branch of HMV, who sold me sealed ones).

yeah, same here,
i went into my local HMV as i wanted Left 4 Dead & had credit from Dead Space trade-in.
I went to the counter with the game case & the lady at the till took a clear plastic bag from behind the counter & put it in the case where the manual should go.
i was like WTF, where is the game disc???
then i saw the contents of the bag & it was k - seemed a bit weird to me, had never seen games being stored like that before.

anyone know why they have their games like this rather than being factory sealed in shrink wrap?

It actually used to be pretty standard practice with older games, although particularly since Microsoft introduced their distinct sticky label I've become fussier about being supplied with sealed or unsealed games.

Incidentally I want to confirm that Gamestation are selling *new* copies of Halo 3 for £12.49 - I finally bought mine today and have been very happy at that price
