Thanks a lot, been waiting for another 15% off code.
Used a friends discount so managed to bag an extra 10% off.
Paid £28.97 for the game and then got the £3.50 in extra clubcard points, plus the 8% quidco still to come.
Bargain.

Fingers crossed it's a decent game, the trailers look pretty good so far.

Yes they are dragging it on but not in a bad way. Successful games carry on being made (look at final fantasy, god of war, mario, zelda etc.) while games that don't sell as well and stagnate tend to die. That's simple business. Now if we look at if the games have quality or they are just chucked out then generally they are actually pretty good compared to most other sequels at adding new content. Compared to Uncharted, God of War etc. which just pump out a new title with better graphics you see much more new features like adding skulls, armour abilities, equipment, forge, match recordings etc. Won't go over the whole list but generally each game had something new at least and that was before looking at how they always fine tune weapons, add vehicles and MP modes (like firefight) etc.

If you're not interested then you're not but short of having a new engine, new campaign, new vehicles, new weapons etc. there's not much they can do without just doing the stupid thing of ruining the franchise by not making it what it is and not what the fans want and have been buying into for so long. Halo 3 added equipment to spice up the gameplay and reach added armour abilities so even some new gameplay elements have been added throughout the series life but it still caters to the original fans (as any sequel should) so doesn't stray too far. The story is now moving on from the covenant and flood and more towards the fore runners too so that sets a new focus on the battles, locales and enemies too. All that's left is that yes it's halo and yes it's still fps, if that's enough to moan about though then Halo Wars should have been a nice detour since it was an RTS and not even an FPS.
THE CODE IS T15OFF25, you forgot to add that "t" in the post

do they take payment straight away?

Nice try, but after 6 or so games, I think everyone can rest assured that Halo is just a cash cow. Halo 4 does look good, and 343 studios seem to have taken their own spin on the franchise, but let's not try and kid ourselves; they're making another Halo because there's a substantial profit to be made ;).
Do they take payment now or later?

Isn't making profit the aim of every game production?

Halo is an established franchise. *Every* game is made with the hope it'll turn a profit - to boil it down to just that is just simply being antagonistic. This "cash cow" malarkey is symptomatic of those who are no longer interested. The anticipation and excitement of Halo fans is more than enough to justify further releases.
I'll admit I'm a fanboy of halo, but will also admit where content or gameplay lacks, but Halo's games are always the one's I keep goin back to play over and over again.

Me personally loved all halo games to date, But wasn't overly loving of halo wars, just because it's not my sort of game, but it still delivered and I still enjoyed it.

Yes halo is a cash cow, just like call of duty, FIFA, gears of war, god of war, uncharted, ratchet and clank, final fantasy etc

But like someone pointed out, you are getting tons of new content, new developer for a start, new weapons, new enemies, new abilities, new story, new gamemodes, fresh take on multiplayer.

I'm slightly worried how multiplayer will go, coz I wasn't as keen on title updates on reach, and also with no public beta just seems crazy for player feedback.

But I have belief that 343 will do an amazing job. Game already looks amazing, I haven't enjoyed the majority of the music I've heard so far that's my only gripe.

But saying halo is a cash cow is true, just like call of duty is a cash cow, does halo feel like the same rehashed experience like call of duty? I don't think so Imo.

It has to play fresh and offer a new experience every time you play it which is what halo always delivers for me, unlike call of duty ai and graphics are essentially the same in every game.

If halo 4 fails then I'll admit it sucks. But i have faith it'll be one of the greatest games of this year by a big stretch

thanks. Ordered for the husband because I'm such a lovely wife :-)
ORDER, good deal and get a t-shirt
Hopefully they don't add any of those rubbish power ups. I liked halo 1-3 but none of the newer ones.

Thanks OP, have ordered. I normally buy the limited edition games of Halo (Yes I'm a Halo fanboy, my bad) but this time I'm going to learn my lesson as I know they will be reduced heavily after 2 - 3 months.

I've had this problem after I tried to order it too.

It was going fine until the online Secure page for HSBC came on. Entered the requested password characters as usual but then it timed out when I submitted. Since then I can't use that promotional code, but the item wasn't ordered.

I have a feeling that my account can't used it again because it's already been 'used'. I've contacted Tesco about it, but not heard anything back yet.
